Using The Collection Alone and With Other Products | Cathe Holden's Flea Market Finds Collection

  Hello Friends!

Today I'm sharing some cards I made using Cathe Holden's Flea Market Finds Collection now available in the Spellbinders store. The collection includes stickers, paper packs, ephemera, stamps and stencils, all of which have an antique and textile feel to them. If you're like me and haven't quite acquired that antique feel in your cardmaking, this collection makes it easy to do and I'll also show you how to use these products with previously released Spellbinders items for a different look!

All of these products can be found in the product list at the end of this post. Please feel free to click and shop. These are affiliate links, meaning that if you click on them and purchase something, I will earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. It simply helps me keep bringing you more inspiration! I appreciate any and all support - Thank you! 💜

I've included a YouTube Video Tutorial of the first card below, if you are interested!

I'll give a quick run down of each card on here but if you want a more detailed look, I highly recommend checking out the YouTube Video linked above!

Card 1

The paper used in the background is from the Florals Palette Sampler Paper Pad. I used the Friendly Society Set to stamp and heat embossed in Ranger Princess Gold the pink strip on the left. I layered some of the Miscellany (ephemera) from the Home Arts and Reward of Merit Miscellany sets. I also added some circle stickers from the Butler's Variety Sticker Pad. For the sentiment, I stamped out the "Blessings" sentiment from the Miscellany Words Stamp Set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink onto one of the label/frame stickers from the Stationer's Stock Sticker Pad. These two items work very well together along with a few other stamp sets to help complete your projects. Finally, I embellished this with some AB Gems.

Card 2

I used the same method to create this card by building and layering the items in this collection. The background paper is from the Blue-Green Paper Pad set and I added the ephemera from the  Home Arts and Reward of Merit Miscellany sets. I used the friend sentiment card for this card and added a sub sentiment by stamping out the "A Token of friendship" stamp from the Miscellany Words stamp set onto the flower basket piece. I added a few more stickers and stamped the "Special" sentiment onto a frame sticker in the same manner as card 1. Again, I finished this card off with some AB Gems.

Card 3

I tried to keep this one a bit more simple and show more of the background paper as I really think this one from the Forals Palette Sample paper pad my favourite! I added a border sticker from the Butler's Variety Sticker Pad and heat embossed the stamp from the Friendly Society Stamp set on purple cardstock to match. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Clair Fantasia Ink using the Miscellany Words Stamp set. And I added some Ab and Gold gems to the background and crown.

Card 4

For the final 2 cards, I used other Spellbinders products with this collection to show you how versatile this collection is and looks great with other sets. For this one I used the Sweet Leaf Mini Slimline die and cut it from white and Sizzix Opulent Rose Gold Mirror cardstocks. I adhered them to a mini slimline card base in an offset fashion with Bearly Arts Glue. I attached a piece from the Home Arts Miscellany set and attached a sticker from the Butler's Variety Sticker pad to white cardstock, to make it more robust and fussy cut it out, then attached it to the card. I had a "Sending Birthday Wishes" Sentiment (foiled in Spellbinders Skybright foil using the Everyday Sentiments plates and dies) laying around from a previous project that I attached as well. I added some gems to finish this one off too.

Card 5

For this card, I used the background paper from the Blue-Green Paper pad and cut it to 4.75" x 6.75" and used the Optical Arches embossing folder to add interest. I find that it really makes the textile nature of this paper stand out. In this card, I wanted to show you that even just a paper pad is useful for this different look. I used the Spellbinders Peach Blossom dies to cut out the flowers and leaves and added Oxide inks. I shaped and assembled them and attached them around the Happy Birthday sentiment made from Yana's Layered Script Sentiments set. Then with some clear gold mix gems this card was complete!

And that's how you can use this beautiful antique collection to make cards with just these sets or mix it with your current stash of Spellbinders goodies! All of the products used here have been listed below for your shopping convenience!!
