This month's Small Die Kit is called Layered Poinsettia Tree and it's designed so that you can make a floral die cut arrangement in the shape of a Christmas Tree. However, these dies can also be used to cover an entire background and with an added sentiment panel in the center, it looks like a frame! I had to give this idea a try and since the large tree die cuts out floral clusters, it's much easier to do than using individual die sets.
Layered Poinsettia Tree Small Die of the Month

I started out by choosing some cardstocks in a colour scheme that I'd like to use. I chose to go with traditional golds, whites, deep greens and I added red with gems as embellishments. I cut everything out, assembled the flowers and then I arranged the gold clusters so that they would cover the deep green background panel continuously. I did leave the center blank since I was going to cover it with a sentiment panel.
You can see that, I didn't leave the green panel plain, I did emboss it with the Christmas Wrap Pattern Embossing Folder for this month. Once the clusters were arranged neatly, I added the poinsettias and roses with foam adhesive for dimension.
The sentiment panel was created with the Pine Cones & Holly Clear Stamp & Dies for this month. I stamped out and die cut the sentiments and that rectangle panel from the set as well. I added the smally holly stamp on top of the panel for interest and propped up the sentiments with more foam. I also added a second die-cut rectangle panel in an offset fashion as a shadow.
The Small Die of the Month comes with a die that cuts out multiple berries to add, but I wanted to add some shine. So I used a mix of ruby glitter drops and white pearls for the berries. I also added some silver gems for the flower centers and on the sentiment panel.
I tried my best to use a nice mix of the club kits but you can tell that the Small Die of the Month really takes center stage here. I have to admit that it's my favourite this month😁!
