Scrap 'N Stamp Tracey Hey Inspiration Hop

 Hello Crafters!

Today I'm so excited to be a part of the Scrap N' Stamp Tracey Hey Wild N' Whimsy Inspiration Hop!

GIVEAWAY ALERT!!

Scrap N' Stamp will be giving away a Tracey Hey Stamp Set on each stop of this hop and all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favourite Tracey Hey stamp set!

I will be using the Tracey Hey stamp set entitled "Little Bit Crazy" to make this really fun wobbler card! In the picture it is hard to tell, but that cute little unicorn and alpaca are on a DIY wobbler that I'll show you how to make - just check out the YT video below! 😃

I really like this stamp set because the sentiments are so cute and quite frankly, remind me of my husband and I. We are a couple of oddballs but that's what makes US work so well. This set is perfect for a personal Valentine's Day card!

I started off by cutting a 4.75" x 6.75" white cardstock panel. This will make a 5" x 7" card  with a small border, which is my preferred card size. This would also work with a typical A2- sized card. I used VersaMark Watermark ink and applied it to the top half of the panel and heat embossed it with Emerald City WOW! Embossing Powder. I used the same method to heat emboss the bottom half with Fairy Dust WOW! Embossing Powder.

I then stamped out the alpaca from the stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink twice; once on white cardstock and once on masking paper. I fussy cut the alpaca on masking paper and applied it to the stamped image on the white cardstock. I arranged the unicorn such that it looks like it has it's hand around the alpaca and stamped this also. Once removing the masking paper, I had a cute image of the unicorn holding the alpaca.

I used my Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers to colour the image with the following colours, using simple blending techniques:
True Blue Blend, Pale Pink Blend, Ice Grey Blend, Purple Blend and Pink Violet Blend

I then fussy cut the image out. I also stamped out the largest sentiment on some white cardstock using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and cut it to size with a flag end on the right side.

I  then created my wobbler, which is actually really simple. I used a punch to cut 4 small 1" circles - 2 solid circles and 2 with small holes poked into the center (you can use any shape but just have to make sure it fits behind your image with out being seen.) Take some jewelry wire and a pen or pencil and wrap the wire around it to create a tight spring (about 5-8 times). Cut the wire and then attach it to one circle with strong double sided adhesive. Thread one circle with a hole down the wire to encase the end of the wire adhered to the first circle. Thread the second circle with a hole, and adhere the other end of the spring with the fourth circle. Finally, move that second circle with the hole up and adhere it to the fourth circle to cover/enclose the other end of the wire. You don't need to add the circles with the hole but it gives a cleaner look (I only used 2 circles and you can see the double sided adhesive if you look closely). Alternatively, you could purchase a 12-pack of wobblers that Scrap N' Stamp has available in their store for a great price!

Next, I attached the glittery panel to a 5" x 7" side-folded white card base. I attached the sentiment with foam adhesive at the top left and centered the image attached to the wobbler below it. I added a silver frame on angle cut with the PinkFresh Studio Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die. I propped it up with 3 extra layers of the frame cut out of black cardstock and glued together.

Finally, I embellished this card with PinkFresh Studio Glacier Jewels and Diamond Stickles on the unicorn and alpaca for interest.

    1. Thank you! Yes, I think having the right size is key or maybe you just needed to make more coils?
