A Craft Tote Overflowing With Crafty Fun | Scrap Diva Designs

  Hello Friends !

I have a doozy of a paper project to share today! I'm using a lot of products from Scrap Diva Designs including the Craft Tote Die set, which is the basis of this project.  This cute little tote makes a nice storage or organizational basket for your craft supplies. Or you could fill it with fun crafty things for crafty friends, including these cute Sequin Envelopes. These fun embellishment envelopes are perfect for craft swaps or just for gifts! I added a couple note cards using the Craft Words Die set and felt this amazing little tote was complete. To see more Scrap Diva inspo from me, be sure to follow/subscribe!

This craft tote is the cutest thing! I highy recommend choosing a scrapbook paper pad you love the theme of and using it for this kind of project. It makes coordinating colour schemes super easy since it's already done for you, and for a diecutting-heavy project like this, it really speeds up the process. I particularly love choosing papers with foiling, like these!

All you need for the base of this tote is the Scrap Diva Craft Tote Dies and a box approximately sized 2.5" x 4". Or you can fashion one as I did with a thick cardstock/thin cardboard and pattern papers. All you have to do is assemble to front and back of the tote with the dies and then cut a cardboard piece sized 2.5" x 9". Score the cardboard lengthwise at 2.5" and 6.5". Apply your pattern paper to cover the exact size on one side and on the other side, apply a paper sized 3" x 9.5" (with the panel in the center leaving overhangs). Cut small triangles where the cardboard folds and adhere the flaps to the front and back tote panels. And voila - the tote bag is complete. After this, I "jazzed it up" a bit with a beaded hanging tassle, gold twine wrapped handles and my little front pocket is fastened with a magnet so it can open and close and house small/thin items.

I used the Scrap Diva Crafty Words Die set to add sentiment sto these two simple note cards, which I also added to my Craft Tote.

This pink card wasn't complete without a bow, so I used the Scrap Diva Swirl Bow Dies to create the cute pink bow in the corner.

I also added some fun Glitter Enamel Dot Stickers for some interest on both cards. Scrap Diva has a nice bundle of these with a bnch of different colours!

If you know me, you know I LOVE embellishments! And Scrap Diva has these Sequin Envelope Dies that make two sizes of pockets which are perfect for storing or gifting embellishments and sequins. I can imagine these can be used to gift sprinkles too, if you have any baker friends. Basically, anything small and cute would fit into these. I just recommend putting these cute small items into small ziploc baggies to put inside the enevelope, so you can see them through the heart window. Or you could add a piece of acetate to make these pockets completely enclosed. There's also a "shake it" sentiment included with each size that works perfectly with these envelopes too! Naturally, I had to add a few of these to my craft tote!

And finally, all craft totes are not complete without some scissors and tape. So I used the Scrap Diva Heart Tape Roll dies and the Heart Scissors #2 dies to make my some for my bag.

I made 2 tape rolls and one pair of scissors. I couldn't resist attaching the two sides of the scissors together with a small brad so that they look functional, and you can actually move the scissors so they open and close. I just love moving parts in craft projects!

The back of my craft tote can be seen in the picture below and it has a nice slot in the back that I could slip my tape and scisoors into. Again, this is a functional pocket for thin/small items.

And that's my Scrap Diva project inspiration for today! I hope you like it!
