Washi Tape & Glitter Embossed Mirror Cardstock | Christmas In July Edition

Hello again!

So the last time I posted about the beautiful Pink Fresh Studios washi tape die cuts, everyone seemed to love the idea! As do I! So, I decided to make another card using these great washi's and this time it's a Christmas card. I've been trying to pump out some Christmas cards for Christmas in July and will be keeping this "Christmas Edition" going until December. Those of you who make your own Christmas cards know that you have to start early to beat the rush and busy times of Christmas!

I do want to note that I will be entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, entitled "Wild with Washi!" and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, named "Anything Goes".

I started with the Indigo Vines PinkFresh Studio Washi Tape. You can buy the coordinating dies, stamps and now they also have the stencils available too!

- adhere washi tape on White Neenah Exact 110lb cardstock ( I chose a thinner cardstock to prevent making a bulky card for the mail, plus this is a little more afforadable in Canada)

-use coordinating dies to cut out images (make two sets)

-Cut a piece of Sizzix Opulent Charcoal Mirror Cardstock to 4-3/4" x 6-3/4"

- Heat emboss with ZING! Silver Glitter embossing powder (any silver glitter embossing powder will do) the wreath from the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Cheer Stamp Set onto cardstock to create a top and bottom border as in picture (make sure to use lots of anti-static powder and don't heat the cardstock too long with your heat gun)

- stamp out the "to the world" sentiment from the SSS+CZ Chunky Christmas stamp set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink on white cardstock and cut down to size

- die cut using PhotoPlay Peace & Joy dies, the JOY letters from Sizzix Opulent White Glitter Cardstock and shadow from Grafix Vellum Shimmer Silver, adhere letters to shadow with BearlyArt Glue

- clean off from mirror cardstock all anti-static powder with dry cloth

- adhere washi die cuts, Joy die cuts and 'to the world' sentiment strip to the card front as in the picture, making sure to pop use small leafy images and JOY sentiment with foam squares

-embellish with silver crystal LolliBeads and embellishment wand

For the card inside, I tried to use some of my left over die cut washi along with the stamp set.

- Cut a 10" x 7" center-folded card base from heavy cardstock

- use large acrylic block and PinkFresh Studio Indigo Vines stamp set to stamp out the wreath and a couple floral bunches on the outer edges of the card inside using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink

- Adhere left over floral die cuts with BearlyArt Glue

- Stamp out the sentiment from the Altenew Holiday Wishes Stamp Set using  VersaFine Clair Twilight ink

The only thing left is to attach the card front to the card base with some strong tape and leave a small white border about 1/8" thick

I hope you like this post and that you've been inspired in some way or form!

I'll leave you with a couple more pictures! And please feel free to leave a comment, as I love hearing from you!
