Mini Slimline Pattern Paper Christmas Tag Card | Make the Cards Challenge 32
Hello and Welcome back!
I have your weekly dose of the Make the Cards Challenge #32. This is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge as the post shows below. You can pick any vertical, horizontal or diagonal line to make your card design. Make sure to use those 3 items/techniques and go ahead and link up your creations to the challenge post.
My Creation
So I chose to use the diagonal line with the Patterned Paper, Tag and Eyelet. I also snuck some heat embossing in there which is allowed, as long you use the 3 items/techniques in the tic-tac-toe line you choose. I tried to keep my creation simple this time as I know I tend to use a lot of different techniques at once. Plus with school starting soon it's been pretty busy.
I started off with some patterned paper that I had laying around from an old Simon Says Stamp Christmas Tag Card kit. Unfortunately the card kit is not available anymore but they tend to keep the items from the release in their store available for purchase separately. I will try my best to link what I can or something close. Please note than I do have affiliate links in my LinkDeli supplies list below. If you purchase something by clicking those links, I am given a small commission at no cost to you. Your support is kindly appreciated. Furthermore, I will link products in my blog description that are not in the LinkDeli list - these links are not affiliate links but they help you find the products I've used, as I like to supply you with everything I can. I do not get a commission from these links.
How to Make this Card:
- Cut the snowflake background patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Peppermint Kisses Paper Pad to 3.25" x 5.75"
- Use the Simon Says Stamp Garden Greetings Stamp set to stamp out the foliage image (in opposite corners of paper as shown) in VersaMark ink and heat emboss with Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder
- I then used my Sizzix Bigshot Plus and my Sizzix Sidekick to die cut the CZ Design HO HO HO Tag die using the red polkadot paper from the Pebbles Merry Little Christmas Paper Pad. Hold onto the centers from the "O"'s , then add some Sizzix Gold Glitter cardstock to the back of the tag with some tape runner. Attach the center of the "O"'s with some BearlyArt Glue
- Use a white We R Memory Keepers Eyelet and your We R Memory Keepers Cropadile or appropriate tool to crimp the eyelet in place on the HO HO HO Tag
- Die cut one half of the candy cane from the Simon Says Stamp Candy Cane Heart die (one candy cane) using partial die cutting technique, from red and Sizzix Ivory Glitter cardstock. Assemble
- Die cut the Simon Says Stamp Daphne Snowflake die from Silver Metallic cardstock (keep the negative pieces in the outer stems of the snowflake) and Sizzix Ivory Glitter cardstock. Glue the glitter snowflake onto the silver snowflake so those negative pieces that you did not pop out show through.
- Die cut some leaves and fronds from the Spellbinders Mini Slimline Envelope and Nested Card Creator die set (Large DOM July 2021) using Simon Says Stamp Midnight Green cardstock
- Glimmer and die cut the "Seasons Greetings" sentiment from Spellbinders Yana's Christmas Sentiments glimmer plates set using Spellbinders Silver foil
- Now assemble the card as shown using foam squares to pop up the tag, candy cane, snowflake and sentiment. Add leaf and frond die cuts around tag and sentiment.
- embellish with AB Crystal Lollibeads and add a few ornament die cuts from the Spellbinders Holiday Decorations die set
- Add panel to 7" x 6" center folded white card base to complete this mini slimline card
And that is my final card! I chose not to decorate the inside on this card yet but stay tuned for future posts where I will highlight some inside card decorations!
I hope you have been inspired and go ahead and leave me a comments as I love hearing from you! And don't forget to join the challenge over at the Make the Cards Challenge blog!
