Peach Glimmer Flowers | Spellbinders Spring Into Glimmer Collection
Hello Crafters!
Before we move onto Spellbinders' March release, I wanted to create one more inspiration card featuring the Spellbinders Glimmer Flowers from the Spring Into Glimmer Collection. I felt like creating more dimensional flowers with some peach coloured inks and a dark background for added impact!
For this post I have a short video/reel you can view below!

The process for making this card is outlined below:
- Use the Spellbinders Glimmer Edge Flowers plates to foil both flower plates 7-8 times with Spellbinders Pewter foil ; cut with coordinating dies
- Use a small blending brush and add ink to the petals with Pigment Craft Co. Medina ink (in the centers) and Blush ink (the rest of the flower)
- Curve the flower petals up with your fingers or by rolling the petal edges up with a pencil. Assemble flowers with Bearly Art Glue.
- Cut a 4.75" x 6.75" panel of Sizzix Opulent Charcoal Pearl cardstock. Make a tick mark at 1" up from the bottom on the left side of the panel and 1.5" up from the right side of the panel. Join the two lines with a pencil and ruler and cut along this line.
- Cut a panel of Sizzix Opulent Rose Gold Pearl cardstock to fit this piece just cut off and attach it to the Charcoal cardstock.
- Use the Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments set to foil a sentiment using the Pewter foil on white cardstock. Cut sentiment strip and matte onto Silver Metallic cardstock creating a 1/8" border on the top and bottom.
- Adhere the sentiment strip on the diagonal join of the charcoal/rose gold panel and cut off any over hanging ends.
- Use foam squares to adhere flowers randomly spaced out on the charcoal area of the panel. Cut off overhanging pieces and attach to fill the background.
- Cut a 5" x 7" top folding white card base and attach the panel to the card front leaving a 1/8" border all around the panel.
-Embellish with PinkFresh Studio Ballet Slipper Jewels for the flower centers and some small AB gems for the background.
- I also added a strip of the charcoal cardstock to the bottom of the card inside and attached an extra flower in the bottom left corner to continue to design on the inside. (You can see this in the Video Short linked above - it's only 1min long so don't forget to watch ☺!)
I hope you've been inspired to make something similar of your own with this idea! And don't forget to leave a comment, as I do love hearing from you! Also, please make sure to follow me on Instagram and tag me with your inspired creations: @deezinesbyd
I will also be entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge entitled "Add A Die Cut" this week!
