Top Fold Floating Car | Spellbinders Open Road Collection

CARD 1

I created a tutorial on YouTube that I've linked above if you'd like to see how this card was made. It's was inspired by my last post with the growing "I love you more" card. It is more of hidden message card and let's just say when I saw those balloons and the car, I immediately thought of the movie "Grease" with the flying car at the end with a mix of the movie "Up" with the house floating attached to a bunch of balloons. You can see the hidden message below!

CARD 2

For this card I cut out all of those balloons from different coloured cardstock using the two balloon dies in the Open Road Etched Die set. I made the different colours of cardstock using plain white cardstock and applying Altenew inks. I used the Open Road Sentiments set to stamp and heat emboss the letters with Altenew Rose Gold EP. I also added a Gold mirror cardstock shadow behind the balloons with letters. I foiled the "Best Mom #1" sentiment from the We Dance Set in Polished Brass Foil and cut it out along with a Gold Mirror Shadow using a tag die from the Assorted tags set. I also used the dies from the I Dance set to cut out and assemble the dress and legs. I then arranged all of these die cuts onto a 4" x 5 1/4" panel embossed with the Head In The Clouds embossing folder that was inked up with Broken China and Faded Jeans Oxide Inks.

Then to add a floral touch I added some die cut images from the Petite Floral Potpourri set and the leaves and buds from the I Dance set. I cut these out of Sizzix Opulent Ivory Glitter and Gold Mirror cardstock. Finally I finished this card off with some gold mirror jewels from the Spellbinders Gold Mix Gem set.

CARD 3

When I saw the car for this collection and all of the balloons, I immediately thought birthday! But what is a birthday without gifts!? So I grabbed my Spellbinders All Aboard Kit from last Christmas and got those cute gift dies. I cut out a whole bunch of gifts and grouped them together and used the string and bow dies to complete the groupings. I cut the car out of black and pink glitter cardstock using the Open Road Dies and assembled it with my Bearly Arts glue. I then embossed a 4.75" x 5.75" panel with the Head In The Clouds Embossing Folder and inked it up with Stormy Sky Oxide Ink. I added some grass at the bottom using a die from the Spellbinders March 2021 Large Die Of The Month. 

I adhered the car and added the sentiment. The "happy" was made using the Be Bold Lowercase Alphabet & Numerals die set that I cut out of white and silver glitter cardstocks. And I heat embossed the "birthday" from the Open Road Sentiment Stamp set using Ranger Silver EP. Finally I arranged the gifts in and around the car and embellished the card with AB Crystal Jewels.
