A Card For Ukraine | Make The Cards Challenge 52

 Hello Again!

This week's Make The Cards Challenge 52 is a colour challenge and we're looking for any and all shades of yellow! I immediately thought of yellow and blue and of those suffering over in Ukraine. So I thought I would make my card to show our support for Ukraine. It's really a horrible ordeal and I think it is important to show that the rest of the world supports Ukraine and is against this unnecessary war!

Instructions:

- Stamp out the Simon Says Stamp Heart Flowers Background in Memento Nautical Blue Ink

- Use the following copic sketch markers to colour in the flowers and leaves:

Flowers: Y17, Y06, Y00
Leaves: B29, B24

- Use the Gold Sparkle Wink of Stella Marker to colour in the tiny flowers

- Cut the panel down to size (mine was as irregular size) and mount it onto a white side-folded card base with foam

- Heat emboss the "Love You." sentiment from the Concord & 9th Big On You Stamp set in Ranger Princess Gold EP and cut it out with the coordinating die

- Stamp out the Sending Hugs sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and cut it out with the coordinating banner die

- Adhere the sentiments on the card front with foam squares

- Cut out the hearts from Spellbinders Blue Glitter Foam using the same Big On You die set and adhere to card front with Bearly Arts glue (This is a bit of a sneak peek, although you've probably seen this glitter foam from Spellbinders on sale already! They are a must have because they cut so nicely and the glitter does not come off either! This is perfect for small features or sentiments and is going to be a staple in my craft room!)

- Embellish with Pinkfresh Studio Gold Metallic Pearls

- I also continued the design on the inside of the card by adding the piece of coloured panel that I cut off from the front along with a strip of Gold Sizzix Opulent Mirror cardstock

And that's my inspiration for this challenge! I hope that my card idea appeals to you and you can use it in your crafting!

I encourage you to check out the rest of the designer's inspiration and create your own card to link up to the challenge page for a chance to be the challenge winner.

As always, thanks for stopping by. And don't forget to leave me a comment, as I love hearing from you! And don't forget to follow me on Instagram @deezinesbyd!
