Geometric Botanicals and Butterflies | Pinkfresh Studio April Challenge

 Hello and Welcome!

Today I have a card that I was inspired to make from the Pinkfresh Studio April Monthly Challenge. This one is about geometric shapes and the colour palette is beautiful too. So I grabbed my Simply Diamonds Die and my Botanicals and Butterflies Suite and created this card!

For this post I have a short video/reel you can view below!

The process for making this card is outlined below:

- Use the Pinkfresh Simply Diamonds Die to cut two panels, one of Nautical Blue Cardstock and one of Sizzix Opulent Gold Mirror Cardstock

- I glued down the mirror cardstock diamond frame to a white card base and then popped up the Blue cardstock negative pieces with foam squares inside the frame

- I stamped out the Pinkfresh Botanicals and Butterflies and heat embossed it with Altenew Rose Gold EP

- I added ink using the Pinkfresh Botanicals and Butterflies Layering stencils and small detail blending brushes with Altenew inks in Ultramarine, Eastern Sky, Hydrangea, Wisteria, Coral Bliss, Pink Pearl, Dark Chocolate, Paper Bag, Grass Field and Firefly.

- I cut out the images with the coordinating die and attached it to the blue and gold simply diamonds background on the card base with my Bearly Art glue

- I adhered the sentiment from the Perfect Sentiments Suite that was foiled in Spellbinders Gold Foil and cut with the coordinating die

- Finally, I embellished this card with Pinkfresh Glacier Jewels and added some Diamond Stickles to the butterflies and small flowers

And that is how I completed this card! I absolutely love the new geo shaped plates which were released this month and if I had them, I would've definitely used them here, but the simply diamonds die is a favourite of mine! The colour palette here is beautiful and who can resist those pretty butterflies!

I hope you've been inspired to make something similar of your own! And don't forget to leave a comment, as I do love hearing from you! Also, please make sure to follow me on Instagram: @deezinesbyd
