Using Your Leftover Foil and Borders As Backgrounds | Spellbinders Inspired Basics & Essential Glimmer Solid Shapes Collections

Card 1

For the first card, I used the Create A Slimline Border Die set to create the background and the Flowers For You plates and dies to create that beautiful bunch of flowers. The circle focal point was made using the Essential Glimmer Solid Circle and the negative foil from a past project, which is perfect for me since I hate wasting foil. Card 2

For this card, I cut a mini slimline panel of Sizzix Opulent Ivory Pearl cardstock (allowing for a 1/8" border). I used the Flowers For You Foil Plate to emboss the panel using the letterpress technique. I then cut out the gift bag using the Gift Bag Die released last month as part of the Celebrate You Collection. I altered the bag to make it shorter and so that there is no back and just a small accordion hinge at the sides (so once placed in a card, it sits flat). I folded the bag handle flat and attached it to the bag. I folded up the bottom of the bag and attached it to the center of the embossed panel adhering only on the hinge edge, so it pops up. 

I added 2 of the Flowers For You flower bunches foiled in Gold Foil to the front of the bag after colouring them with Copics in greens, purples and blues. I foiled the "A Little Gift" sentiment from the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments set and cut this out with the banner die from the Mini Everyday Sentiments set. I backed it with a gold glitter banner and adhered this to the panel. I also foiled the For You sentiment from the Celebrate You Glimmer Sentiments set and cut it out with the small circle tag from the Assorted Tags Die set. I attached this to the bag after backing it onto another gold glitter tag. This element I left loose so it still has the ability to move around for some interest. Finally, I cut a small square of white tissue paper and simply tucked it into the bag and I embellished this card with some Lavender Pinkfresh Studio Jewels and some AB Crystal Gems.

Card 3

For my final card, I used the Create A Slimline Border dies to cut a double ring border strip from Teal cardstock and a double dotted edge border from Sizzix Opulent Rose Gold Mirror cardstock. I adhered the rose gold border dotted border on top of the Teal Double border strip. And I added a small strip of white cardstock to the center of the strip. I created the bow using the Create A Flutter & Flower Bow set. I cut out the flower die 2 times from teal and 2 times from white cardstock and stacked them before attaching the white center strip. I added small foam squares in between the layers of petals to keep the dimension. 

I cut a 8.5" x 4" panel of Sizzix Opulent Ivory cardstock (this one has a silver sheen which is heard to see in the picture) and adhered the double slimline border strip to the center. I attached the bow to the left. I used the Happy Birthday Dies from the Layered Mix & Match Die set (Sept 2021 SDOM) to cut out the sentiment from Teal Glitter Foam from the Shimmering Tropics Glitter Foam pack. After attaching this to the double border strip with Bearly Art Glue, I added some Recollections Teal Embellishments.
