A Simple Geometric Father's Day Card | Make The Cards Challenge 54

 Hello Again!

This week's Make The Cards Challenge 54 is a sketch challenge and we would love to see how you interpret this simple sketch. I always seem to make my cards a bit complicated so I thought why not make a nice simple card just like the sketch. I grabbed my Pinkfresh Studio Geo Tiles Hot plate and put together this Father's Day card!

This card was very straight forward and simple to make. I foiled the Pinkfresh Studio Geo Tiles foil plate with Spellbinders Pewter Foil on Royal Blue cardstock. I cut it down to 4"1/4 x 5 1/2" and used a small circle punch to cut the corners to create the look on the sketch. I cut a white card base sized 4 3/4" x 6" (allows for a 1/4" border around the background piece). Then I added 2 panels diagonally cut using Sizzix Opulent Silver Matte cardstock and Charcoal Glitter cardstock to the card base. I adhered the foiled panel on top.

Next, I die cut the Happy Father's Day LawnFawn die, once from Sizzix Opulent Ivory Pearl cardstock and twice from plain white cardstock. I layered and adhered the layers to create a thicker die cut and attached it to the center of the card. Finally, I embellished the card with Pinkfresh Studio Silver Metallic Pearls. them with AB Crystal Nail Art Gems.

And that's how simple and quick this card is! I hope that this idea appeals to you and you can use it in your crafting! I encourage you to check out the rest of the designer's inspiration and create your own card to link up to the challenge page for a chance to be the challenge winner.

As always, thanks for stopping by. And don't forget to leave me a comment, as I love hearing from you! And don't forget to follow me on Instagram @deezinesbyd!
