Hello Friends!
I couldn't let this month go by without sharing one more
card featuring the Stitched Alphabet Collection by Spellbinders! For this card
I used a flower stitch with two different colours of thread. I also altered my
stitched "Y" die turning it into a "V". The spelling of the sentiment is unconventional but it helps me stretch the use of my dies. It's a bit pricey
to get all of those beautiful letter dies, so I like to purchase dies like this
so that I can get more than one letter out of one. For example, the
"u" can also be used as an "n".

For this card I decided to use "luv" for the word "love" since this alternate spelling is accepted as a more eclectic or slang version of the word. I did this to show how you can stretch the use of the letter dies. To do this, I took my "Y" die cut and simply cut off the tail to get the "V". You could also save the little dot from the tail of the Y to make a dot to put on top of the "l" to make an "i". I love thinking of these combinations ahead of time and buying my letters wisely so that I can save some money. This method also works when you find that certain letters are out of stock as well.
I then stitched the cute flower using green and pink thread (you can see this process more in depth in the YouTube Video Short posted above). I simply stitch the bottom 3 lines to make the flower stem and leaves from green and the top 3 to make the flower from pink. On the L and U, you can see that I have the flowers on an alternating tilt only because the stitching holes are not pierced in the same way they are on the altered "y". It still looks cohesive and pretty so you can always make the direction of your stitching patterns work for you.
Once the stitching was complete, I used the Spellbinders Gift Border & Sentiments (SDOM APR22') dies to cut out the "your" from Gold Mirror cardstock and twice from white cardstock. I stacked these and cut off the "r" to get "you". Then I adhered the "luv" with foam squares and the You with Bearly Art Glue onto blue cardstock foiled with the two largest rectangles from the Spellbinders Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangles Plates in Matte Gold Foil.
I cut out the flowers, stems and leaves from the Say Cheese die set (GOM APR22') and added ink with Altenew inks in Moss, Forest Glades, Crimson, Blush and Rocky Shore and a small blending brush. I assembled the flowers and then arranged them around the sentiment after adhering the foiled panel to a 6" x 5" white card base. I also added some small white flowers which were cut using the Love Enclosed plate and die set (GOM JAN22').
Finally, I added some Mercury Glass Stickles to the large flower centers and embellished the background and small flower centers with some clear crystal gems.
And that is the last of my card inspiration for the Stitched Alphabet Collection! I hope you have been inspired! All of the products used here have been listed below - Happy Shopping!
