Banner Mother's Day Card | Pinkfresh Studio May Challenge

 Hello and Welcome!

Today I have a card that I was inspired to make from the Pinkfresh Studio May Monthly Challenge. This month's challenge title is "Anything Spring" and I decided to make this Mother's Day card! I felt like those soft pink flowers on that royal blue background would make this card pop!

For this post I have a short video/reel you can view below!

The process for making this card is outlined below:

- Use the largest Pinkfresh Studio Slim Ornate Banner die to cut the banner out of Sizzix Opulent gold brushed metal card stock

- Cut a piece of white card stock with the second largest banner die from the same set

- Use Altenew inks in Azurite, Sapphire and Desert  Night to add ink to the white banner panel concentrating the darkest colour on the edges

- Use the PinkFresh Studio Leafy Branch die to cut 5 to 6 branches out of Sizzix Opulent gold brushed metal card stock

- Adhere the branches in a random fashion, cutting off any overhanging edges onto the blue banner panel

- Adhere the blue branch panel on top of the largest gold panel to create a gold border around the banner

- Attach the banner to a 9“ x 4“ white slimline card base

- Use the PinkFresh Studio Brighter Days Suite to foil the images with Spellbinders Gold foil

- Cut the images out using the corresponding die and add ink using the Brighter Days Stencils with Altenew Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond inks and a small blending brush

- Use the PinkFresh Studio ornate lowercase letter dies to cut out the M twice and U once from white card stock

- Separate the outline from the letter and add Altenew Rose Quartz ink to the white solid center of the letters

- Use some foam strips on the back of the letters to line up the outline with the solid centers and adhere the letters MUM to the bottom left of the card

- Add the flowers from the Brighter Days set around the sentiment cutting a couple flowers in half to frame the letters. Attach some with glue and some with foam for varied dimension.

- Embellish the flower centers with Pinkfresh Studio Sparkling Champagne Pearls and the background with Pinkfresh Studio Glacier Jewels

And that is how I completed this card! I absolutely love these banner dies because they can be used in so many different ways!

I hope you've been inspired to make something similar of your own! And don't forget to leave a comment, as I do love hearing from you! Also, please make sure to follow me on Instagram: @deezinesbyd
