Blue Anniversary | Make The Cards Challenge 57
Hello Again!
This week's Make The Cards Challenge 57 is a color challenge and we would love to see what you make with any shade of blue! I used my Gilded Rose layering stencils by Altenew and my blue inks to make this anniversary card for this challenge!
Challenge Post
This card is a simple one to make and has such a great effect. I used some Altenew Inks in the following manner with the Gilded Rose Layering Stencils:
Stencil 1 -Arctic
Stencil 2 - Carribbean Sky
Stencil 3 - Persian Blue
Stencil 3 - Sapphire
This panel is 4.75" x 6.75" and to give it an artsy look I added some splatter with some white acrylic paint, some of the persian blue ink and Distress Mica Spray in Polished Brass.
I then used the 4 and 5 dies from the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month from last year to cut out the 45 from the panel.
I stamped out the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Altenew Vintage Roses Stamp set using the Persian Blue Ink also. I then attached the panel to a white 5" x 7" card base and propped up the 45 with foam (which I cut using the same number dies from craft foam).
Finally, I embellished this card with Altenew Glacier Caves enamel dots.
I also added some interest to the inside to continue the design. I cut the Altenew Swirl Motif Die using ryal blue cardstock and Sizzix Opulent Gold Mirror Cardstock. I assembled them on the left of the card inside.
And I also stamped out the sentiment from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and Persian Blue ink.
I hope you've been inspired to create something similar yourself! That large rose takes center stage on any card and makes for fast and beautiful projects. I encourage you to check out the rest of the designer's inspiration and create your own card to link up to the challenge page for a chance to be the challenge winner.
