Hello Friends!

Card 1
My first card uses the Stitched Fanfare cover die as the background. I used it to die cut a panel ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo, Saltwater Taffy and Tattered Rose Oxide inks. I used alternate stitching in a crisscross fashion with gold thread and matted it onto Gold Glitter cardstock from the All Aboard Card Kit from last Christmas. I love stitching in different patterns to create unique looks! I cut out the cake using the Stitched Fringe Cake die set and the pattern paper pad that comes with the Craft Your Birthday Celebrations Bundle. I assembled everything and adhered it onto the card with foam adhesive. I then, added the sentiments that I had foiled with Aura Foil and the Birthday Unboxing Glimmer Set. The cake has the option for stitching but since my background has tons of it I just added shine with some gems. You can find a more detailed process in the YouTube Tutorial linked above!

Card 2
For my second card, I used the pattern paper from the Craft Your Birthday Bundle as my background and matted it onto green and yellow cardstock panels. The yellow was white cardstock that I added Turmeric Pigment Craft Co. Ink to to match the yellow in the paper pad. I foiled the candles using the So Many Candles Glimmer Plate, in Polished Brass Foil onto Heat-Resistant acetate. I adhered the background to a 5" x 7" white card base and added the acetate with a hinge attached to the back of the card. Then I cut the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Sizzix Opulent Gold Mirror cardstock using the Stylized Happy Birthday Dies. I cut the shadows from the same green and yellow cardstock used to matte the background and adhered them slightly offset. I attached the letters to the shadow one by one using the die as a guide and adhered it to the acetate with foam squares. It's hard to see because of the floral pattern paper but I also added some Green Color Essentials Gems to finish this card off.

For my final card, I die cut all of the rectangles from the Fluted Classics Slimline die set using Charcoal Pearl cardstock by Sizzix. I adhered them to an 8.5" x 3.5" white card base alternating each layer with foam. I used the Stylized Happy Birthday die set to cut the shadow from Sizzix Silver Mirror cardstock and the letters from Sizzix Ivory Glitter Cardstock. I assembled the sentiment and added it to the center of the card along with a sub-sentiment foiled in silver using the Birthday Unboxing Glimmer plates and die set. I used the Party Decor die set to cut the little flag and bauble pieces from coloured glitter cardstock in teal, pink and purple (DCWV Glitter Stack) and used silver for the strings die. This die is great because it cuts multiple string pieces in one die! Then all that was left to do was to attach the strings, flags and bauble die cuts with my Bearly Arts glue. I love this glue especially for attaching the thin string pieces because of its precise nozzle. Finally, instead of gems, I took the left over bauble pieces and added them to the background as confetti! There's another idea for this set - the small circles can be used to cut confetti for a background like this or even for a shaker card!

And that is my card inspiration for the Birthday Celebration Collection! I have to say these sets are great to have on hand. Of all the cards I make, birthdays are the most in demand and popular cards and these sets are what I like to call all season - just like tires. You can use them year round and get your money's worth for them. Not to mention, if you struggle with masculine cards like I do, just add a masculine colour palette and these sets work wonders! That's all I have for today but please don't forget to subscribe to see more as I will be posting more Spellbinders inspo for June!
