I'll give a very quick run down of each card on here but if you want a more detailed look, I highly recommend checking out the YouTube Video linked above!
Card 1
For this card, I used the black and white handwritten paper from the paper pack and mounted it on an A2-sized white card base. The cards that come with the kit have canvas feel which is nice if that's what you prefer, however I like my card insides smooth for stamping. So, instead of overlooking these precut card bases, I cut them in half and use them as panels to mount onto smooth card bases. I cut this one a little smaller at about 4-1/8" and 5- 3/8" at adhered and cut the overhanging bits. I layered and arranged some of the die cut pieces that related to song and birds. I added the rose gold glitter foam "hi" and added the sub-sentiment chipboard sticker. I have to admit those glitter letters are stunning and I love the subtlety of the rose gold colour! Finally, I finished this off with some clear gems.
Card 2
I made this card a 4" x 6.5" mini slimline card ( I never stick to normal dimensions😜). I chose pinks and blacks and focused on the parts of the kit to do with flying, stars, the sky and dreaming! I also heat embossed in white the sentiment from the included stamp set! Finally I added two strips of Spellbinders Peach glitter foam (available separately in the shop) and some gems.
Card 3
This card is a 5" x 6" card and for this one I stamped out the dandelion whisps from the stamp set in some Versfine Clair Nocturne ink on the flag die cut piece. I die cut the included frame die from the gold mirror cardstock also in the kit. I arranged this with all the other die cuts related to the dandelions. I added some sentiments from the chipboard stickers and die cuts sets. Finally I added some onyx gems. I made sure to add some pieces with foam to create more dimension and effectively layer these pieces.
Card 4
For this A2-sized card, I adhered this beautiful floral paper from the paper pad. I picked out the stamps and a few more rectangular shaped die cuts from the kit to organize in a nicely spaced pattern with a space for the sentiment. I added these with foam squares and adhered the chipboard sentiment sticker. Again I added some clear gems for some shine along with a couple glitter foam stars.
Card 5
This is an A2-sized landscape top folding card that I adhered with the polka dot paper from the paper pad. I added a 2" strip of the handwritten paper that was used on the first card. I used the frame die used in card 3 to cut 2 more gold mirror frames and cut them up and adhered the two long edges in a straight line above and below the 2" strip. I used the butterfly dies from the kit to cut the outline from gold mirror cardstock and the background/shadow butterfly from the paper pad in 4 different patterns. I assembled the butterflies and only adhered the center of the gold butter fly piece so the wings would be moveable and have dimension. I added the body of each butterfly in black and adhered the butterflies to the card. I added a couple die cut sentiments with foam and embellished this with those blue iridescent sequins from the kit.
Card 6
For my final card, I had to use the pretty dimensional butterfly stickers included in the kit! These are gorgeous and worth getting this kit for. I cut down the pink, foiled starburst paper from the paper pad so the starburst was centered on the panel. I attached the larger sentiment card included in the die cuts set with foam and adhered two of those pretty butterfly stickers! I added the hot air balloon chipboard sticker and the die cut sub-sentiment. Finally, I embellished this one with some rose gold gems and some more of those glitter foam stars! I think this one is my favourite - tell me which one is yours in the comments.
And that's my inspiration for the Spellbinders Butterfly Sparkle August 2022 card kit! I do plan and making some more cards with this kit that I will feature on my Instagram account - so please follow me there @deezinesbyd. You can also find a short reel there for these creations and others!
