Hello and Welcome Back!
I'm really getting a jump on my Christmas cards this year! I have another 2 Christmas cards featuring the Designer Boutique Skating Fun Stamp and the Letter to Santa stamp available over at Creative Expressions (UMSDB120 & UMSDB118). These rubber stamps are so versatile, allowing you to use different mediums and colours for very different looks!
Details of the cardmaking process are below but please check out my Reel/Video Short for this card on YouTube below! And don't forget to like and subscribe ☺!

For both cards, I stamped out the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat set it on watercolour cardstock. I the grabbed my Distress Inks, paint brushes and some water to watercolour these gorgeous sunset and night scenes. This was such a relaxing process! I have to admit that I'm quite new to water colouring and the best advice I can give is to layer your colours. I always start with a wash of plain water, add colours and dry with a heat gun. Then I'll build up the colours, drying in between each layer to get a more vibrant look. I also tried to add shadows in the snow which gives these scenes an added effect.

I let the scenes dry overnight after adding some white acrylic ink splatter. I cut down each scene panel and backed each onto a slimline card base (one black, one white). I foiled the sentiments with red and champagne foil using the CE Traditional Christmas Wordies (CEW008). I adhered them with foam tape and added some small stars in the backgrounds and highlights on the stamped images with a white gelly roll pen.
And that's all the inspiration I have for today! I hope you've been inspired to make something similar yourself and that my little tips were of use! All of the products have been linked below for your shopping pleasure!
