Jamie Rodgers Pierced Christmas Roses & Joyful Tidings Dies | Creative Expressions

 Hello Friends and Crafters!

Well July is over, but I'm not done with Christmas until 2023! So here are 2 more Christmas cards featuring Jamie Rodgers' Pierced Christmas Roses & Joyful Tidings dies available over at Creative Expressions (CEDJR027 & CEDJR034).

Details of the cardmaking process are below but please check out my Reel/Video Short for this card on YouTube below! And don't forget to like and subscribe ☺!

For the first card, I cut the die out of white watercolour cardstock and coloured it in with various Zig Clean watercolour markers. I added the marker and then water with a damp paint brush to help the colours mix and flow. And then I added more marker to add details like the vines on the leaves. I cut the die from gold mirror card stock as well and cut out the center to get a gold frame, which I adhered around the water coloured background. I adhered this to a navy blue cardstock panel and to a white card base. This is a larger 5" x 7" card. Then I die cut the sentiment from white, gold and navy cardstock and adhered it to the front with foam tape. Finally I added some Diamond Stickles to the flowers for some added shine.

For the second card, I cut the pierced die from white cardstock and coloured it in with various Copic Markers. I adhered this to the gold mirror cardstock die cut I had cut out from the first card, in a slightly offset fashion to create a shadow. I cut the large die cut into 4 pieces along the edges of the flowers and leaves. I used some alcohol inks in Cloudy Sky, Pebble and Monsoon on Yupo paper, sized 5" x 7", to create a background. I also added some Pinata Brass alcohol ink for a metallic sheen. Once dry, I arranged the cut florals onto the background and added the "Joyful Tidings" sentiment in white, black and gold. I added a few jewels to the poinsettia centers and backed this onto a white card base.
