Making Shaped Cards | Scrappy Tails Crafts

 Hello Crafters!

I'm always looking for ways to make my cards unique and it's so easy to forget than you can easily change 1 or 2 steps in your cardmaking process to do this. In this case, I'm changing the shapes of my card base for a more unique and fun look! And along with a great colour scheme and products from the Tropical Bliss Collection by Scrappy Tails Crafts, these cards ended up looking like one-of-a-kind! Go ahead and check out my YouTube Tutorial for all the details, along with some tips for mass stamping and die cutting!

For this card, I used a circle die to partially die cut the arch shape for this card base. I made sure to cut through the coloured panel and card base all in one go so everything lined up perfectly. The foliage pieces were stamped and die cut using the tropical bliss stamp and coordinating dies and the cockatoo was fussy cut from the 6"x6" Tropical Bliss paper pad. To see the entire process in detail, please click the YouTube link above!☺

For the second card, I simply used a large oval die, hanging slightly off the left edge of a folded card base to cut out the oval. I did this in the same manner as the first card and assembled the card in much the same way. To see the entire process in detail, please click the YouTube link above!☺

I hope you've been inspired to make something similar yourself. All of the products have been linked below for your shopping pleasure!
