Woodware Silent Night Globe with Cosmic Shimmer Powders | Creative Expressions

    Hello Friends and Crafters!

 Since being a part of the Creative Expressions design team, I've been exploring new mediums including Cosmic Shimmer Powders. I wish I had found these powders sooner as they are so fun to pay with and have give great results! I used a simple wash of 3 shimmer powders to create this quick and unconventional-coloured Christmas card using the Woodware Silent Night Globe (FRS943). 

I stamped out the snow globe and stars and heat embossed it with black embossing powder on watercolour cardstock. I added a wash of plain water in diagonal stripes. Then I used Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles in Gilded Plum, Zesty Lime and Pale Blush and added them to the cardstock while alternating the colours. I tried my best to blend the colours in between each stripe. 

Once dry, I cut it down and added it to an A2-sized black card base and added the heat embossed sentiment strip backed onto gold mirror cardstock. Finally I added some Icicle Stickles to the dotted areas of the image and to the stars.
