Stitched Fall Leaves and Thankful Tractor - September Small and Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

 Hello Friends!

I hope you are all loving the Spellbinders Club Kits autumn inspo so far! Today I'm sharing two cards oozing autumn vibes featuring the September Small and Large Die of the Month called Stitched Fall Leaves and Thankful Tractor. I'll give a quick run down of each card on here but if you want a more detailed look, I highly recommend checking out the YouTube Video linked above!

Large Die of the Month

This slimline tractor slider card was put together with a bit of ink, simple cutting and some foam tape! I didn't use any extra dies except the Large Die of the Month, so anyone can put this together. There is a detailed description of the process in my YT video linked above, so don't forget to check that out!

In brief, I ink blended and embossed a slimline panel with the Embossing Folder of the Month. I die cut the Thankful Tractor dies from white, gold and black cardstocks. I added Altenew inks in Aqualicious, Dew Drops, Caramel Toffee, Mocha, Espresso, Forest Glades and Evergreen to my die cut pieces and assembled them with a mix of liquid and foam adhesive. I cut a slit in my brown card panel with an X-Acto knife and inserted a slider strip. I attached the tractor to the slider strip and stamped a sentiment on the white card base. I added the small die cut elements that I cut using the supplementary dies that come with the set and added some clear gems. I also added a die cut squash, pumpkin and corn stalk to the inside of the card for a continuous look!

And that's essentially what it took to put this card together. Here are a couple of close ups below.

Small Die of the Month

The background of this card was made using Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles in Beyond Blue and Boulevard Lights. I took a 5" x 7" white watercolour cardstock panel and added water to the front and back (this helps with preventing warping once dry). I sprinkled the pixie sparkles all over the panel and spritzed more water onto the panel with a spray bottle. I moved the colours around by picking up the panel and dried it with a heat tool. I continued in this fashion building up the layers of colours. 

Once dry, I embossed the panel with the Embossing Folder of the Month and cut 1/4" of the top and side. I adhered the panel to a 5" x 7" card base and worked on the stitched leaves. I used the Stitched Fall  Leaves set and cut 3 leaves from Sizzix Opulent gold pearl cardstock and the shadows from vellum. I stitched the leaves using my No. 22 Needle and gold thread and adhered them to the vellum shadows with foam squares.

I arranged the leaves on the card base + panel and assembled the sentiments cut from gold glitter cardstock onto their vellum shadows too. I adhered the sentiments to a black and gold strip that I added to the card base. Finally, I added some gold metallic embellishments!
