3 Cards With The Harvest Blessings Deluxe Card Kit | Scrappy Tails Crafts

 Hello Friends!

Today I'm using the Harvest Blessings Deluxe Card Kit from Scrappy Tails Crafts to make 3 cards! Of course you can make many more cards with this card kit but I chose to highlight the stamp set and the wheat stalk die for these cards. You can find all of the details in the YouTube Tutorial linked below.

To start off my cardmaking session, I did some prep work which I find helps speed up the actual card assembly. Once I'm in the crafting zone, in terms of coming up with the layout/design for each card, it's hard to take time to colour in images and die cut focal point images. So, I first stamped out the 4 sunflowers from the Wild Sunflowers stamp set and coloured them in with my Prisma Coloured Pencils. I fussy cut out the images so they were all ready to go. I also die cut the Wheat Stalk from white cardstock and added ink, along with a gold metallic die cut of the same wheat stalk.  I assembled the wheat stalk and then I started on my design and assembly. It also helps to cut and fold your white A2 cardbases as well. For an in depth look at how I put these 3 cards together, go ahead and check out the YT video linked above!☺

Here are some pictures of the 3 cards!

Card 1

This card used the Wheat Stalk as a focal point and I used the brown pattern paper to match. I stamped out the sentiment from the Wild Sunflowers Stamp set in Versafine Clair Pinecone ink to match the brown theme.

I used up some of the excess brown pattern paper on the inside of the card with a brown glitter strip of cardstock. I also added the extra single wheat stalks for interest and to coordinate the card front with the inside.

Card 2

This card used the group of sunflowers that I coloured in as the main focal point. I used one sheet of the pattern paper (front and back) to create a two-pattern card on a diagonal angle. I added a white sentiment strip stamped with the sunflower-related sentiment from the stamp set and embellished this with the beautiful yellow satin pearls included in the kit!

I didn't have as much of this pattern paper left over to use on the inside of the card so I simply added a small corner in the bottom right of the card inside with a glitter strip. It's very small and simple but ties everything together.

Card 3

My final card uses the 3 sunflowers around the circle sentiment as the focal point. I used the green polka dot pattern paper for the background and attached ablack glitter strip. I added the sunflowers and the sentiment circle and a few yellow pearl embellishments here.

For the card inside, I simply added two strips from the excess pattern paper used on the front and a strip of gold glitter cardstock. You can see that decorating the inside like this on all 3 cards, not only uses up your scraps but, makes for a nicely coordinated inside and front of the card without too  much extra effort.
