Both sets are available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store now!! The embossing folder matches a lot of the club kits perfectly and the poinsettia envelope makes beautiful and unique Christmas cards!

APG Die of the Month

This 3D Poinsettia Surprise Envelope APG die set is so much fun and relativey easy to make compared some of the other APG sets! You can get so many looks by using different colour schemes, not to mention, you can other die cut items into the envelope. I imagine you can use other die sets to add presents, ornaments, christmas trees, etc. To see exactly how to put this together, I highly recommend checking out my YouTube video where I focus on the assembly of this beautiful card!

I chose to use some of the same plum-coloured cardstock that I've been using lately and seems to be a big hit. I paired it with some golds, glitter ivory and shimmer vellum poinsettias. This 3D envelope will fit into a 5" x 7" envelope and is a great gift for anyone to put on their mantle this Christmas!

Embossing Folder of the Month

For this card, I really wanted to highliight the Scattered Christmas design on the embossing folder. To do this, I first foiled the rectangle with Polished Brass Foil using the Glimmer Duo Rectangles Set. I then placed the panel into the embossing folder and dry embossed the entire thing. The panel is slightly smaller than 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

Then, I grabbed my Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink and a finger dauber to add ink on the raised portions of the panel. I also completed the same process using some Encore Metallic Gold Pigment ink. I found the pigment inks really made the embossed/raised images stand out. I adhered the panel to an A2-sized white card base and added the sentiment from the Outlined Christmas Sentiments set (Small Die of the Month) using Gold Glitter cardstock and foam. I also added the branch and small flowers using the supplemental dies from the same set and some ivory glitter, gold pearl and gold metallic cardstocks. To finish this card off, I added a few champagne gems and used Golden Rod Stickles to highlight those embossed images further. And that's how simple this card was to put together!

So that's my inspiration for the Spellbinders October 2022 Embossing Folder and APG Die of the Month! All of the products used here have been listed below for your shopping convenience!!
