Making a Christmas Card with Everyday Stamps | Creative Expressions

  Hello Friends and Crafters!

Sometimes making seasonal cards is easier than you think and cheaper than you think. I love looking at stamp sets I already have and using the products in unique ways or with seasonal colour schemes to create a seasonal card. In this case, I used the Breezy Elements Stamp set from Creative Expressions to make a Christmas card. Then, all you really need is the right sentiment.

I started off by ink blending a 5" x 7" white cardstock panel with Rustic Wilderness and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide inks. Then I used the CE Weave It Alone Mini Stencil with Chipped Sapphire Oxide ink to ink the pattern on top of my inked background.

I used the small circular florals and the tiny bell-shaped florals from the CE Breezy Elements set to stamp out a tree on top of the inked background. It's important to ensure the panel is dry before stamping since I did heat emboss the images with Ranger Silver and Silver Tinsel EPs. I then filled in the spaces with the small leaf images and some clear gems in various sizes.

I adhered the panel to a 5" x 7" white card base and cut the Joyful sentiment from Silver Glitter and white cardstock using the CE Joyful Die by Sue Wilson (which is stunning). I adhered them together in an offset fashion and adhered them to the panel with foam adhesive. Finally, I came in with some Diamond Stickles to add interest to the floral petals and a few droplets around the background.

And Voila - my card was complete!

I hope I've been able to show you how easy it is to make some seasonal cards with this set. And I encourage you to look through your stash to see how you can use what you have to make a Christmas card, even though they may not necessarily be Christmas sets!
