The Helen Colebrook Collection | Creative Expressions

  Hello Friends and Crafters!

Today I have a bunch of projects to share with you using some great products released by Creative Expressions a while ago. These projects feature the Helen Colebrook Collection and are so ideal for anything from cardmaking to journalling. This post is full of inspiration and hope you find something you like!

This card features the Blooming Marvelous stamp set. Its great for colouring with any medium and you can arrange your flowers just as I have here. I fussy cut my florals after colouring them with alcohol markers, and adhered them to a peice of gold mirror cardstock square cut using the CE Noble Looped Square die set. I added some greenery behind the florals using the dies from the A Walk In Nature die set from the collection.

Also, it's hard to see here but I actually used the Leafy Trails stencils and dry embossed it on white cardstock for my background. I matted the panel on pink cardstock and adhered my floral square. My sentiment was stamped out from the Woodware Many Happy Returns stamp set. And I finished this off with some clear gems.

On this card, I did some ink blending with Chipped Sapphire, Pine Needles and Lucky Clover Oxide Inks. I stamped out the Helen Colebrook Foliage set with Onyx Black Versafine that I heat set. I then used a water brush and paper towel to add water to the centers of the images and lift off the ink with the paper towel. The ink reacts and gives this great look!

I stamped and cut out the accent foliage pieces and adhered them to the white top panel. I also stamped out the sentiment usin the Breezy Sentiments stamp. I cut another white scalloped border using the CE Inner Scalloped Rectangle Die set and used it to border the sentiment panel. For a finishing touch, I added a couple clear gems and some white dots using a White Gelly Roll pen.

These tags were created using the Leafy Trails and Floral Daydream stencils from the collection. I used some smaller blending brushes to selectively add various colours of ink to the stencils. I used a mix of Distress Oxide inks for this technique.

As for the tag base, I cut rectangles and the top corners off, while rounding out each corner to create a tag. I punched a hole in the top and added some ribbon. For the sentiments, I die cut them from gold mirror cardstock using the Jamie Rodgers Female Relations die set. Then I added some string and ribbon along with white foliage slightly emboss with gold EP, die cut from the A Walk In Nature die set.

The final two card were made in much the same manner with minor changes. The card above uses Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner Oxide inks with some water splattered on top for the droplet effect. I slightly added some Versamark Watermark ink to the edges and heat embossed the panel with gold EP. I wrapped black string around the bottom of the panel and added white and gold foliage cut from the A Walk In Nature dies. The sentiment was cut from the Sue Wilson Celebrate The Season die in gold mirror cardstock and I adhered this to white foam, also cut with the same die. This time I did not remove all of the centers of the die cut foam, which is how I got the look above.

Finally I added some clear gems. I chose to use a Christmas/Holiday sentiment for this card to show how versatile these sets can be. You can make them work for any occasion.

The first few steps of this card process are the same as the last. However, this time, I added a white sentiment strip in the bottom corner diagonally. I stamped the sentiment using the Breezy Sentiments stamp set and adhered some foliage pieces cut from the A Walk In Nature set. I used some gold mirror cardstock to add some shine and I tucked these behind the sentiment banner while propping them up with foam squares for dimension.

And those are all of the projects I made with this collection. As you can see the possibilitie with these sets are endless! I hope you've been inspired to make something similar yourself. All of the products have been linked below for your shopping pleasure!
