Using 2 Different Stencils and Colored Pencils | A Colorful Life Designs

 Hello Friends and Welcome!

My card today uses colored pencils and 2 different stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. I used the Flowing Drops Stencil and filled in the pattern with a gold paint marker and colored pencils. Then I layered the open butterfly stencil from the Layered Mixed Butterfly on top. You can find all the details below along with a quick reel on Instagram (@deezinesbyd). Process Outline

1) Trace the Flowing Drops Stencil on black cardstock (5" x 7") with a Gold Paint Marker

2) Place the open butterfly stencil from the Layered Mixed Butterfly stencils on the panel and trace the butterfly with a Gold Paint Marker

3) Use your colored pencils (I used Prismacolor pencils) to colour in the flowing drops and the butterfly. I find choosing a fun color scheme helps with getting the final result you desire.

4) Cut down the panel slightly and adhere it to a white 5" x 7" card base

5) Add glossy accents around the butterfly in rays, radiating out from the butterfly

6) Add Simon Says Stamp Unicorn Glitter over the Glossy Accents and let the panel dry.

7) Adhere the "sending hugs" sentiment by Pinkfresh Studio, foiled in Spellbnders Gold Foil and cut with the Perfect Sentiments coordinating die. I used foam adhesive to add some dimension

8) Add a few Pinkfresh Studio Glacier Gems on the background. And add some Diamond Stickles to the flowing drops pattern in the butterfly for some added shine.
