Galentines Shaker Card | Scrap Diva Designs

 Hello Friends !

I'm so excited to be guest designing for Scrap Diva Designs for the next month or so. And today I'm sharing this fun Galentines shaker card! If you're not familiar with this holiday shared between BFFs, it's coming up on Feb 13th and it's really all about appreciating your friends! I used the Love Mini Album dies and the letters in this set are perfect for making shaker letters!! It comes with an outline die and a backing die, so all you have to do is add foam between the layers of cardstock and acetate. This card is just a tip off the iceberg of inspo I'm going to be sharing, so be sure to follow/subscribe to see more!

The Scrap Diva Galentine's Day and Valentine's Stamp Set have a bunch of great sentiments which make them ideal for creating a wordy stamped background for cards. I found a purple cardstock that I like from a 12 x 12 paper pad I have and cut it down to 4.75" x 6.75". I arranged all of the sentiments including the heart and lip images onto the lid of my stamp positioner. I used a few sentiments twice to fill in the panel but I had enough to stamp this out twice in versamark ink. I heat embossed the panel in gold embossing powder and then worked on the sentiment.

The Scrap Diva Love Mini Album dies have two long dies that cut out the word LOVE. One die is a solid letter and the other is an outline. I believe the heart on both dies is the same. So I cut out the solid letters from black cardstock and acetate, and I cut the outlined letters from gold mirror cardstock. I adhered the acetate letters to the gold outlines and added thin foam adhesive behind the gold outline. I added some Scrappy Tails heart sequins and some Simon Says Stamp Unicorn Confetti. Then attached the black solid letter backing to create the shaker letters. I adhered the shaker letters to the purple embossed card panel.

I decided to make a bow for this card using the Scrap Diva Swirl Bow die set. There are 2 layers to the bow and tail portion of the bow so you can select colours or cardstocks that suit your design. I actually cut the swirl layer (bottom layer) from white pattern paper and black cardstock and layered them in an offset fasion for a more retro look to go with the rest of the card. The top layer was cut from some pink pattern paper and I adhered the layers with tape runner. To shape the bow I used a pencil to wrap the sides around and I used a thick foam square adhesive to keep the shape of the bow. I wrapped around the center strip and attached it to the tails of the bow. I used another foam adhesive to attach this to the card panel just above the letter L.

For my main sentiment, I heat embossed the "Will you be my Galentine?" stamp from the Scrap Diva Galentine's Day stamp set in white EP on black cardstock. I cut this into a banner and adhered this to the card panel with foam adhesive.

Finally, I attached a light green/turquoise 5" x 7" cardstock panel onto a white cardbase of the same size. I adhered the card panel on top and cut off the overhanging portion of the sentiment banner. Then to finish off the card I added some Scrap Diva light green/turquoise glitter enamel stickers.

That's my Scrap Diva card inspiration for today!
