You are so Bowtiful | Scrap Diva Designs

 Hello Friends !

Today I'm sharing this fun "Bowtiful" card featuring products from Scrap Diva Designs. I used the Swirl Bow dies which have two layers, so you can choose to make your bows with the swirl or without. I made these bows without the swirl and with a double bow. And fun part is that I added a bit of felt and some clips behind them so they can be used as hair clips for kids. This card was completed with a strip so I can clip on the bows and the recipient can remove them for use. This makes a great dual card and gift for girls who love hair clips! I've used these bows before and loved them so much I had to make another project. My daughters love hair clips and I usually make poinsettias on clips to decorate the house with at Christmas. So I thought, why not use those clips with these cute bows to make bow hair clips. And to make it more interesting, let's make it into a card!

So I picked out 3 colours of shimmer cardstock and cut the large and small bow without the swirls, along with the tails twice (to make a matching pair). I used some strong double-sided tape to assemble them and shaped the bows with a pencil. I wrapped around the center strips and made sure they were attached tightly.

I cut some small strips of felt matching the colours of the cardstock I used. I wrapped the felt around the top portion of the clip (something I picked up on Amazon) and fastened it to the clip with a hot glue gun. I then attached the bows to the clips where the felt is with the hot glue gun also. Then to add a bit of pizzazz, I added a Scrap Diva Glitter Enamel Drop in the matching colour.

I put the bows aside and cut a white card base sized 8.5" x 5.5". I made this card larger so I could fit all the bows on. I cut a black and white polka dot background slightly smaller than the card base. I cut two small 0.5" slits in the  polka dot paper. I inserted a long strip of the polka-dot paper adhered to some plain white cardstock to make it more sturdy. I then taped the strip with a bit of give behind the paper and adhered the polka dot panel to the card base.

For my sentiment, I masked a stamp from the Galentine's Day Stamp Set and heat embossed the "You are so" with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I cut this into small banner and adhered this at the bottom of the card.

For the rest of the sentiment, I used the Mini Heart Alphabet & Numbers to cut out the letters to spell "BOWTIFUL". I used gold mirror cardstock for this and adhered this in an arch below the banner.

Finally, I added some more  Scrap Diva Glitter Enamel Drops in the background of the card. And I carefully clipped on the hair clips so they were lined up nicely.

And that's my Scrap Diva card inspiration for today! I hope you like it!
