Easter Coffee Cup Gift Ideas | Scrap Diva Designs

 Hello Friends !

April is on its way and I, for one, could not be happier for two reasons. First, I'm looking forward to spring weather - anything that is not snow. And second, I can't wait for Easter! So, today I'm sharing a couple gift ideas for a Happy Easter. My projects are made using products from Scrap Diva Designs and the main base of both designs is the Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder Dies. I used this with a bunch of other Scrap Diva products to put this cute box and gift card holder card together. I love that you can use the box version to gift chocolate eggs (big and small), candies, marshmallows or even some Easter Cookies! There are so many possibilities with this!

The Easter Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder

Now this design uses the Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder Dies for it's intended use, which is for a gift card. I simply cut the coffee cup twice from some ombre pattern paper, along with the pink labels and lid. I also cut the insert that is to be slid into the coffee cup once assembled.

I assembled the coffee cup pocket by adding double sided adhesive to the bottomm, left and right edges of the cup. I used a 1/8" tape so that there was ample room to slide in the gift card insert. I used the Mini Heart Alphabet & Numbers Die Set to spell out "Easter". I also used the Valentines Words #2 Die set to add the "Hugs" sentiment on top of the heart from the Coffee Cup set. Finally, to embellish this card, I used the Scrap Diva Glitter Enamel Dot Stickers in yellow and peach.

The Easter Coffee Cup Chocolate Gift Box

This coffee cup Easter gift box was made using the same die set as in the first project, however this time I added a thin cardboard panel in between the two coffee cup die cuts. The panel measured 13" long by 1.75" wide and I scored it at 5" and 8". I folded along the scorelines and covered with pattern paper to match the coffee cups. To get this to attach to the cup panels/die cuts, I added pattern paper on one side of the panel slightly larger (about 1/2" all around) than the panel and folded it around to cover one side and the edges of the panel. Then I added pattern paper on the other side that was a bit larger and cut triangles where the panel folds. I folded these over and added strong adhesive to attach these overhangs to the coffee cup die cuts. This completed the box.

Next, I decorated the front with the sleeve dies for the cup. And this time, I made the sleeve a shaker bit. There are two dies for the sleeve: one smaller and one bigger so you can cut a small frame and add acetate to create the shaker. I filled the shaker with an Easter Mix of Sequins by Buttons Galore. And again, I used the Mini Heart Alphabet & Numbers Die Set to spell out "Easter". This time I added the word "Happy" from the Scrap Diva Craft Words Die set. I used the "Happy Mail" sentiment from the set and only cut out the first portion of the sentiment. I added this on top of the shaker window with foam adhesive.

I added a pink metallic bow using the inner portion of the Swirl Bow Die set. I also cut out the spoon included in the Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder Dies set and slid it into the pocket in the back of the gift box, made using the cup sleeve die.

To add just a little bit more to this coffee cup, I used the Coffee Die/Stamp Set to create a small coffee cup tag. This set is super cool because you can make fun little coffee cup tags with it and the stamp set has a bunch of fun sentiments that can be stamped onto the cup. I stamped the sleeve outline and "Let's have some Coffee" sentiment on my tag. Then I punched a hole in the back panel of the gift box and tied on the tag with some metallic pink twine. In my first photo of this box, you can see that I made the shake portion of the sleeve a pocket too and you can tuck in the little tag here too. Finally, to embellish this card, I used the Scrap Diva Glitter Enamel Dot Stickers in pink.

So as you can see, you can make a simple gift card holder card or a gift box that you can place chocolates in. I put some Lindt Mini Eggs in a small bag and sealed it with a ribbon. I placed this in the box with some tissue paper in the bottom. You could probably place a few kinder eggs or Cadbury eggs in here too. Or even some Easter Cookies!

And that's my Scrap Diva project inspiration for today! I hope you like it!
