The Airy Flowers Stencil | A Colorful Life Designs

  Hello Friends and Welcome!

I have inspiration with an older stencil from A Colorful Life Designs! It's called Airy Flowers and it's gorgeous! (If you're placing an order, use code DeepaFan10 for a discount!) This card was inspired by a dress I saw posted by A Colorful Life Designs' very own DT Leader, Amy Wares! This card is so easy to create. I just used some metallic watercolour paints with this stencil on black watercolour cardstock and the results are stunning - much like the dress! Of course this stencil is amazing too and I'll be sharing some more cards with this one, so stay tuned!

Here are a couple more photos of this card. I cut a 8" x 4" panel of black watercolour cardstock, added some pixie spray to the back of the Airy Flowers Stencil and placed it on top of the panel. I then used Arteza Metallic Watercolor Paints and painted the flowers in Jungle Green and the background in Mars Black. The paints are heavily pigmented with mica and the shimmer is off the charts! Since I only added two colours the painting was easy and quick. I removed the stencil and allowed the panel to dry. Once dry, I cut 1/4" off the width and length anad matted it onto black cardstock size 8" x 4". I adhered this to a white slimline card base.

As for the details of this card, I cut a frame from the Mini Slimlines Frame Die by Pinkfresh Studio out of charcoal matte cardstock. I adhered this and the die cut and foiled sentiment made using products from The Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana at Spellbinders. And to finish this off I added some Pinkfresh Studio Jade Glitter Drops, Iridescent Clear Drops and Metallic Pearls in Matte Silver.
