April Glimmer Kit & Embossing Folder of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

  Hello Friends!

It's April 1st and no fooling around, the kits this month are amazing!! Today I'm sharing 2 cards featuring the Glimmer Kit called Glimmer Leaf Panel and the Embossing Folder called Seamless Floral Background. I have to say that the Glimmer Kit this month is my favourite and it pairs perfectly with everything!

Embossing Folder of The Month

This card uses a whole mix of products from this month's club kits release! Everything just paired together so nicely that I couldn't resist. This card shows off the embossing folder for this month so nicely on that dark green cardstock that I had to appoint it to the embossing folder category. However, you can see that the Glimmer Kit and Small Die complement it perfectly.

I embossed an A2-sized panel of dark green cardstock with this month's seamless floral embossing folder and set this aside to make my card base. I used the curved edge die from the Small Die of the Month Kit (DOM) and used it to cut the scallop edge at the bottom of an A2-sized top folding white card base. I used this die and the scalloped punch and pierce die from the DOM to cut light blue cardstock in the same way. I adhered some matte gold cardstock behind the blue piece and cut along the edge so they match up. Then I adhered this to the white card base. I adhered the embossed green cardstock from earlier just above the scallop punch and pierce design and cut off the overhanging bit.

Next, I used the glimmer plate from the Glimmer Kit of the Month (GOM) to foil some leaves with Polished Brass Foil. I did this twice and cut out the 5-6 leafy pieces with the coordinating die. I coloured these in with some green Copics and arranged them around the foiled sentiment from the GOM on the join between the green and blue cardstocks on the card. I used som foam adhesive for dimension and I also cut some small white flowers from a past club kit. I finished this card off with some clear gems.

I  also used the extra embossed green cardstock on the inside of the card with a gold strip. The sentiment was stamped from the Clear Stamp of the Month and I added an extra leaf from the GOM.

The colour scheme for this card was inspired by none other than Yana Smakula! I used a light blue A2-sized card panel for the background and foiled the subsentiment from the GOM in Espresso Foil. I added the Hello sentiment which was cut from glitter foam from the Spellbinders shop using the Large Die of the Month Kit (DOML).

I glimmered the leaves from the GOM in black foil and coloured them in with Copics like the first card. I then arranged them in two lines bordering the sentiments on the top and bottom. To add more colour and interest, I added some white flowers from past club kits and the pink flowers from the Christmas Blooms Die Set. Then I added some clear gems for shine!

And that's my inspiration for the Spellbinders April 2023 Glimmer Kit and Embossing Folder of the Month!
