April Stitching Die and 3D Embossing Folder of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

  Hello Friends!

My post today features the Spellbinders Stitching Die and 3D Embossing Folder of the Month for April. I chose to make some tags out of the Stitched Fanfare Stitching Die Kit using the dies as a tag topper. And I tried to highlight the quilt pattern in the 3D Patchwork Embossing Folder. Both sets are available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store on April 6th!!

Stitching Die of the Month

So for these tags, I cut the Fanfare Stitching Dies from pink, peach, matte gold and deep green cardstocks. For the one on the left, I did some funky zig-zag stitching with pink metallic string. And on the right tag, I left the holes without any stitching. Both versions have their own unique look and both look nice. Since the Fanfare Dies are symmetrical they work perfectly as a tag or bag topper. I simply scored the assembled fanfare piece in the center and folded it. Then I attached the tag portion in between each side of the fanfare design. I used a one-hole punch to punch a hole at the top and added some peach ribbon.

This tag with the stitching uses the "Hello" sentiment from the large die of the month, cut from gold glitter cardstock. The tag portion was cut from deep green cardstock using my trimmer and I used a rounded punch to round the bottom corners. To add some interest, I foiled the leaf panel from the Glimmer Kit of the Month at the bottom of the tag in pink foil. Then I attached a smaller white panel on top for my message and the To: and From: which can be stamped or written in. Finally, I added some clear gems. These tags are on the large side at about 3.5" x 6", so they can be used for large gifts.

The second tag without the stitching was made in the same manner, except that I used the punch and pierce plates from the Small Die of the Month at the bottom. I connected 3 plates with washi tape and ran it through my die cutting machine with the deep green cardstock. I adhered matte gold cardstock underneath and attached it to the pink tag, on top of a smaller white panel of cardstock. I punched the rounded corners and added a pink mirror cardstock strip for a finished look. I added some shine with a few gems on the pierced bottom portion and the stitching die topper. The sentiment was foiled before putting the Fanfare pieces together using Pink Foil and foil plates from the Spellbinders Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments Set

3D Embossing Folder of the Month

I really wanted to highlight the patchwork on this folder so I centered a 6.5" x 4.5" whit cardstock panel in the folder and embossed it. I then used 3M masking tape to section off the patches and add ink in light shades of pink and peach using a large blending brush. I did one section at a time and this gave me the clean white lines between the patches.

The sentiment was cut from gold glitter and dark green cardstock using the dies from the Large Die of the Month. I also added some floral sprigs cut from the Spellbinders Glimmer Edge Flowers Glimmer Plates & Die Set. I matted the panel onto more gold glitter and dark green cardstock. I adhered the panel to a 5" x 7" white card base and finished this off with clear gems.

And that's my inspiration for the April 2023 Stitching Die and 3D Embossing Folder of the Month!
