The Latte Vibes Stencil Part 1 | A Colorful Life Designs

  Hello Friends and Welcome!

Today I'm using the Latte Vibes Stencil from the NEW release at A Colorful Life Designs! (If you're placing an order, use code DeepaFan10 for a discount!) I normally use bright and vibrant colours, so I thought I'd try a softer palette this time. I was doing some more experimenting with my gel plate and layered the stencil in different colours on my card using the plate. I paired it with a coffee cup made from Spellbinders dies and added a sentiment from that great Coffee Stamp Set that's part of this release as well. Here's another photo of this card. To get the soft background with the Latte Vibes Stencil, I simply added some Victorial Velvet Oxide ink to my gel plate. I spread it out with my brayer and placed the stencil on top. I added the cardstock on top and added some pressure with my hands. Then, I lifted the cardstock to get the print. I lifted the stencil and placed a second piece of cardstock on top to pick up the left over image. I didn't end up using that carstock for this project but I'll be sharing that piece later on this month. I followed the same techniques with Tattered Rose and Rusty Hinge Oxide Inks to complete the panel.

I cut the panel down and adhered it to a 5" x 7" cardstock base. I used the Spellbinders I Dance Die Set to cut and assemble the coffee cup. I used a circle die to cut a circle from black cardstock and stamped out the sentiment from the A Colorful Life Designs Coffee Stamp set. I heat embossed this in white and added stitching lined around the edge of the circle with a White Gelly Roll Pen. I added the cup and sentiment to the center of the card with foam adhesive and finished this card off with some light blue gems.
