The Split Springs and Bloom & Berries Wildflower Stencils | A Colorful Life Designs

  Hello Friends and Welcome!

My card today uses some simple ink blending with older stencils from A Colorful Life Designs! I used the Split Sprigs and Bloom & Berries Wildflower stencils. (If you're placing an order, use code DeepaFan10 for a discount!) Every so often I look through the stencils in this great store and come upon products I haven't seen before. And I really don't know how I missed them, since they are so pretty and full of potential! So my project today uses these stencils and I really thought this combo worked so well together!

The split Sprigs Stencil 6" x 6"

The Blooms & Berries Wildflower Stencil 3" x 6"

Here is another photo of this card. I started off with the Blooms and Berries Wildflower stencils and masked off the flower with washi. I added Altenew inks in bright greens in the center of a 5" x 7" panel. I then added some bright red ink to the flower portion of the stencil. As you can see I added ink in twe tones so that I could acheive a gradient look.

Then I took the Split Sprigs Stencils and placed them along the edges of the panel and added Altenew Moss ink. I added more pressure and ink towards the edges so that your eye would be drawn into the center flower. I lightly inked up the stencil towards the center. In this case, I kept picking up and moving the stencil to get multiple leaves. 

I then matted the panel onto black cardstock and onto the white card base. I used the Pinkfresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Stamp Set to heat emboss the sentiment on this card. I used black cardstock and white embossing powder. Then, I cut the sentiment into a rectangle and matted it onto gold glitter cardstock. I added this to the card, along with some Pinkfresh Studio Champagne Glitter Drops. Finally, I added some Rhubarb Red Nuvo Drops for the berries.
