May Stitching Die of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

   Hello Friends!

The best feature of stitching dies is that you can use them with stitching or without. And my favourite technique with these dies is to use them with embellishments instead of thread! I did just that with  May's Stitching Die of the Month from Spellbinders. I used a rainbow of gems to add to the balloons punched stitching holes and used a gold marker for the balloon strings. The set is called Stitched Balloon Card Front and is available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store right now!!

This month's stitching die is a single plate that cuts out a series of balloons. I used black shimmer carstock for this and then used white cardstock to cut the rest of the balloons. The die works geniusly, by cutting 2 solid balloons and 2 punched balloons for stitching. You can use either of these or both. So essentially, this die could be used with the solid balloons and no stitching at all.

I used the balloons meant for stitching and added inks in the colours of the rainbow. I then added matching gems in every other punched hole. I used a gold marker to highlight the strings and coordinate with the sentiment which is from the Glimmer Plate Add-On Set. Along with a few matte gold pearls, this card is ready for a party!

And that's my inspiration for the May 2023 Stitching Die of the Month!
