June Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

 Hello Friends!

This month's Large Die is called Whale In A Bottle and like the rest of my cards this month, it has a pink theme. Sets like this are pretty self-explanatory and all you really need to do is cut and assemble them. To make my design more unique, I like to pick a unique colour scheme and I find that using specialty cardstocks help step up your card. I used some shimmer vellum, pink mirror, gold glitter and pink crystal cardstock (on the rocks). I also used the Splish Splash June Embossing Folder in the background and the add-on set for the sentiment. This card was really simple to put together. Once I had picked the cardstock I wanted to use, I cut everything out and assembled it as in the instructions on the packaging. I used specialty cardstocks to kick this up a notch and I also added some twine for the "For You" sentiment tag on the bottle. I also added some pink and clear droplets to simulate bubbles.

The background was embossed using the June Embossing Folder of the Month and I foiled the sentiment in Matte Gold foil using the add-on set for this month. I love that the add-on set coordinates with everything and that you can make this bottle into a shaped card as well. The possibilities are endless with this month's kits.
