June Small Die of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

The June 2023 Small Die of the Month has a bunch of cute little sea creatures and elements to add to your ocean-themed cards. In this set the jelly fish and octopus are dancing cards, meaning the legs/tentacles swing left and right if you tilt the card. I chose to showcase the octopus on my card holding a wooden sign, with a shimmer vellum-embossed background made using the 3D Embossing Folder for this month. This set is called Dancing Octopus & Friends and is available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store on June 6th!!

To start off this card, I cut out the octopus layers using pink, pink mirror and gold glitter cardstocks. I cut out the sentiment sign for which you have two sentiment options. I added the octopus and sign onto a cardbase lined with pink cardstock and a layer of shimmer vellum embossed with the 3D embossing folder for June. I added a small foam square and put the bottom tentacles over the hole. Then I attached the full octopus on top then kept tilting the card to get the optopus dancing. 

The sentiment for this card comes from the clear stamp of the month and I added a few pink gems for shine.
