Classic Christmas Collection | Spellbinders

 Hello Friends!

These cards were created using the Classic Christmas Collection available in the Spellbinders store now. If you missed out on the bottle brush trees last year like me, here's your chance to grab them. The sets available are perfect for Christmas cards of all kinds. The Christmas Die and Glimmer Sentiments set is a must-have for any crafting stash. And the Vintage Ornaments 3D Embossing Folder is a focal point all on its own. I used a mix of different colour schemes and even added a couple wax seals for fun! I hope something here inspires you!

Card 1

This first card uses the Essential Stylish Ovals to make a shaped card that is top-folding. I folded a 8.5" x 11" white cardstock page in half and then placed the largest oval die slightly over the edge and cut it. The background was cut from the second largest oval die and then embossed with the 3D embossing folder. I used only the detailed layer of the Bottle Brush Trees Duo and cut them twice from green and silver glitter cardstock. I added the warm wishes sentiment from the Christmas Sentiment dies and glimmer set along with some pink/coral gems and glitter drops. With this set, you need to foil the subsentiment first, cut the outline and then add the die-cut detail scripty word. Then to really step this up, I added some snow sprinkles using fake snow. 

Card 2

I was aiming for a wreath with this card, but I'm not so sure you can really see it. I cut the foliage and pine branches from with the Christmas Bird Poinsettia set in greens, purples and gold glitter cardstocks. I then tried to arrange the branches in a circle coming outwards from the poinsettia and candy cane. I then assembled the bird and placed the sentiment with the edge in the birds mouth to make it look like the bird is carrying the sentiment.

Card 3

My last two cards were made in much the same way and were meant to highlight the 3D Vintage Ornaments Embossing Folder. I ink blended this panel with green inks and added the poinsettia and branches from the Christmas Bird Poinsettia set. I kept everything white or light pink. Then I added a wax seal made with Pink Damask wax beads and the For You stamp from the 3-pack set that came out with the Sealed For Summer Collection. I added it right in the center of the poinsettia with some pink twine wrapped around the panel. Finally, I added the sentiment and some clear AB gems.

Card 4

My final card was made in the same manner as the last, except I chose to feature the Bottle Brush Trees Duo on this card. Again, I used the detail portion of the tree with a silver glitter shadow. I also chose to deboss this panel instead of embossing it which just requires you to place the panel in the folder in the reversed nature. I used another wax seal made with the same For You wax seal stamp in Classic Crimson this time. I added the sentiment with foam adhesive and some pearl beads and red gems on the trees.

And that is my card inspiration for the Classic Christmas Collection !
