Hello Friends!
I have 2 slimline cards to share that I made using July's Embossing Folders and the Wax Seal of the Month kit. I created ombre backgrounds and embossed them with the folders. Then I created wax seals using the Poinsettia Joy wax seal stamp with the new Coral and Matcha wax beads. The embossing folder is called Christmas Wrap Pattern and the 3D folder is called Adorning The Tree. All of these kits are available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store NOW!! (note that the wax seal stamp is sold out but Spellbinders will be adding re-orders)

I started by cutting two 8.5" x 3.75" panels of light peach and light green cardstock. Then I ink blended a gradient of the same coloured inks onto the panels. I used Pigment Craft Co inks in Terra Cotta, Himalayan and Blush for the peach cardstock and Fir, Sage and Eucalyptus for the green.
After inking up my panels, I embossed them with the folders while they were still a bit wet, which hastens the embossing. Then I tore off about 1/2" at the bottom of the panel to get a nice torn look. I added strips of gold and rose gold mirror cardstock behind the tear to enhance it's appearance.
I foiled the Merry Christmas from the Glimmer Kit for July in Blush and Gold foil on white cardstock. I then assembled the torn panel and sentiment piece onto a 4" x 8" white card base.
I created the wax seals using the Poinsettia Joy wax seal stamp and Coral and Matcha wax beads. Then with the excess wax in the spoon, I created wax droplets to use as embellishments on the final cards. I attached the seals to the card with some foam adhesive and glued down some sprigs of holly and a poinsettia from the small and large die of the month. I did add a bit of ink to these sprigs with the opposite colour for contrast.
And as mentioned, I added those wax droplets as embellishments.
And that's my inspiration for the July 2023 Embossing Folder & 3D Embossing Folder of the Month!
