July Glimmer Kit of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

  Hello Friends!

This month's Glimmer Kit is another holiday frame (like the clear stamp) but in glimmer form! I decided to foil the frame in white foil and then ink blend over the foiling. This gives such a fun and different look for a more unconventional Christmas card. The set is called Glimmering Christmas Flora and is available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store on July 6th!!

For this card, I kept it really simple. I foiled the flora frame with matte white foil on red and teal cardstocks. Then I did some simple ink blending with darkers reds and teals and then some black on the edges. I sprinkled some water on the panel  and dried it with a towel to create a droplet/sequin effect.

I then took the inner frame dies to cut out the center of the frame. You can see that the ink blending softened up the foil and made it more of a light pink and light aqua colour. If you want your white foil to stay white, you can ink blend the panel and then foil it. This creates more of a dramtic effect than these cards.

For both cards, I foiled the sentiments in matte gold foil on a seperate white cardstock panel. I then lined it up behind the frame and attached it with foam tape for dimension.

I added some extra foam around the edges of the panel and adhered it to an A2-sized card base. Then to add more of a snowy look, I used a white gelly roll pen to add dots of varied sizes on the frame. Finally, I added some white AB gems and gold pearls to the center of the card.
