July Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders Club Kits

This month's Large Die is called Stocking Full of Joy and I decided to choose an unconventional colour scheme again. I went with a grey background and light pink and turquoise die cuts. Then to add a bit of shine and interest, I added some glitter cardstock die-cuts in gold and silver. I created a slimline card with this set and used this month's 3D Embossing Folder of the Month on the background. The large die of the month is really fun to cut out and put together. Again, this set is self-explanatory and so all you need is a suitable colour scheme. I chose to use some gold mirror cardstock to highligh tthe stocking and to add details on the ornaments, gnome, gingerbread man and stocking.  

The background was embossed using the July 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. I added some Smokey Grey Versafine ink to the debossed side of the embossing folder and ran it with the grey cardstock through my die-cutting machine with the embossing mat. Then I swiped the panel gently with a white pigment ink to highlight the embossed areas. I then assembled the diecuts on top of the slimline panel and added the JOY sentiment on 2 layered circles (cut with a punch).
