The New Fresh Dye Inks by Altenew

  Hello Friends and Crafters!

Have you seen the NEW July Release by Altenew! Well they're amazing and there are 14 new Fresh Dye Inks available in the store! Although I've used a bunch of new products here, today's post focuses on those new inks! And I have to say that I'm loving the Deco Garden set of 6 inks. Feel free to scroll through this post and get ready to be inspired! There's also a short video/reel with some of the new inks and my card inspo linked below. Enjoy!

Card 1

This card features the Deco Garden Fresh Dye Ink set. I really love this set of inks and how well they go together. I used these inks with the Sketched Florals set, also released this month, to stamp out a background. Then I added some twine and stamped out the sentiment from the same set. This is a really simple design which would be perfect for mass production!

Card 2

Altenew also released a white pigment ink called Cloudy White this month, and I had to use it to create an elegant background. I did that here using the leaf stamps from the Sketched Florals set. I added some more florals and branches, stamped with the new Coral Red and Navy inks, and die cut with the coordinating dies for this set. Then to add a bit of interest, I added some wonky frames cut using the Fine Frames cover die. I used Navy Fresh Dye Ink to create some custom coloured cardstock by applying the ink directly from the pad to a white cardstock panel. Then I die cut the sentiment with the Versatile Greetings 2 dies. I really love how these pinks, corals and navy ink colours complement each other in this card.

Card 3

This is the card I created in my reel (linked near the top of this post). These round Fresh Dye Ink Pads are perfect for creating an overlapping circular colour wheel, like I've done in this card. I stamped out the Dainty Flowers set with some Jet Black ink to create a floral wreath within the colour wheel. Then I added a circle sentiment from the older Altenew Circled Sentiments set. This card really highlights the colour in the Deco Garden set and this can be done with any ink family.

Card 4

As in card 2, this card features the sentiment cut from custom coloured cardstock, made using the Deco Garden Fresh Dye Inks. I simply created my coloured cardstock by swiping the ink pads on white cardstock and letting them dry. Then I cut the sending sentiment from them using the Versatile Greetings 2 dies. I used the Floral Diamond Blocks embossing folder with a light pink cardstock to create the background. Then I added the sentiments with a small stamped HUGS banner. To finish off this simple card,  I stamped out the XOXO with Cloudy White ink on black cardstock and added it diagonally at the bottom. These two smaller sentiments are from the Sincere Sentiments set, which is a great set to have in your stash because it goes with any stamp set.

Card 5

My first set of cards focuses on the Deco Garden Fresh Dye Inks Set and Cloudy White Pigment Ink. Now let's take a look at the NEW Golden Sunset and Green Fields sets of Fresh Dye Inks.

I used some my Altenew Stampwheel and did some gradient stamping with both sets of inks using the Sketched Florals set. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and arranged them on a white cardstock panel swiped with Jet Black ink. The sentiment was stamped out on carstock inked up with Chamomile and Snapdragon ink, using the Sincere Sentiments set.

Card 6

Card 6 and 7 were made in much the same way with slighty different card designs. I did some more gradient ink stamping with the help of my Stampwheel. I used only the Golden Sunset inks with the Sketched Florals set to create a background. Then I used the shadow die from the Versatile Greetings 2 set to cut the panel and added the die cut sentiment, which was foiled with black foil. It takes a bit of alignment but you can definitly foil the sentiment with the hot foil plate set and use the dies to cut it out. I also added a few strips of brown glitter cardstock for interest.

Card 7

As mentioned, this card was made exactly like card 6 but this time I used the Green Fields set of Fresh Dye Inks. I only stamped out the leaves from the Sketched Florals set to create a more masculine card. And I also added a small sentiment strip with some gold glitter cardstock to highlight it.

Card 8

For my final card, I used the Dreamy Daylilies set with both the Golden Sunset and Green Fields Fresh Dye Inks. These sets work so nicely together for bright florals. I ink blended some Jet Black ink in the background to really make these bright colours pop and added some ink splatter. Then to add a bit of fun, I stamped out 3 sentiments with Antique Gold Pigment ink along the edges of the leaves of the lilies. And I couldn't resist adding some shimmer with some Nuvo Golden Shimmer Dream Drops on the floral petals and stamen.

And that's my bit of inspiration for the Altenew Fresh Dye Inks released this month! I hope you were inspired and there's a list of supplies/bundles at the end of this post for your shopping pleasure!
