Hello Friends!
I love the look of stitching dies but don't always have time for the stitching. So I thought why not try faux stitching!! All I did to get this look is use a white gelly roll pen. I used a ruler for a few lines to keep them neat and then drew the rest in free-hand. It was super quick and still gives you that stitched look! What do you think? Can you tell the difference? The stitching die set this month is called Stitched Floral Card Front and is available to purchase on subscription in the Spellbinders' store right now!!

As with any stitching die set, the first step is to cut everything out. You do have to cut some of the dies more than once to get all of the elements if you want to add everything. I also like that you can use some of the elements I('ve cut these in teal for my card), all of them or none at all. I cut them all and as mentioned, I used my white gelly roll pen and a ruler to draw the north to south and east to west line on the large round florals. Then I just drew in the rest of the lines free hand. I attached these to the background cover die cut with foam adhesive. Then I backed this panel with the Peach Glitter Foam from Spellbinders and attached the sentiment cut from the same foam.
And you can see I chose to turn this panel on its side in the landscape orientation, which also looks great! Then I finished this card off with a bunch of pink glitter drops and clear gems.
And that's my inspiration for the August 2023 Stitching Die of the Month!
