Using Inspiration to Make Cards! | Pinkfresh Studio

  Hello Friends and Crafters!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with some products I recently got from Pinkfresh Studio. I'm always on the lookout for inspiration, whether it's a floral composition or a colour scheme. I always have my phone handy and I save these photos into an inspo album on my phone for future reference. I recently saw this gorgeous watercolour washi tape on Amazon and loved the colour scheme, so I thought I'd incorporate that into today's card.

My Inspiration Picture

This is a picture of the washi tape I saw on Amazon that I used for my inspo. I love this light pink/blush and blue colour combo.

I really loved the Making Things Happen Press Plate, so I pressed it out on an A2-sized cold pressed watercolour panel from Artistry By Altenew, using Black BetterPress ink.

Then I used Pinkfresh Inks in Stargazer, Storm, Begonia, Cherry Blossom, Gathered Twigs, Lush Forest & Lemon Whip to paint the floral frame. I used some water and fine brushes to do this. And I used the inks by squooshing some of the ink onto an acrylic block and adding a bit of water with the brush. To finis off the panel, I splattered a bit of each ink onto it.

I used the Wonderful Sentiments stamp set to stamp out "Hope your Day is Wonderful" in Versafine Clair Twilight ink using the Altenew Stampwheel.

Next, I cut the smaller frame from navy blue and blush cardstock using the Ornate Rectangle Frame dies. I layered the blush inner frame onto the navy frame and attached it to the center of the painted panel with foam strip adhesive. I slightly cut down the painted panel before doing this and mounted it on an A2-sized navy panel to create a small border around the entire card.

I used two older retired die sets called Botanical Frames and Leafy Branch to cut leaves out of navy cardstock and vellum, respectively. Then I cut the leaves/branches into sections and glued them onto the panel so that they look like they are coming out of the frame into the center. I also added a few vellum leaves around the outside of the frame.

Finally, I added a mix of Blush Glitter Drops and Iridescent Dew Drops. I hope you like how this card turned out as much as I do!

As always, thanks for stopping by. And don't forget to leave me a comment, as I love hearing from you! And don't forget to follow me on Instagram @deezinesbyd where I have a ton more inspiration.
