World Card Making Day Pinkfresh Challenge Card 2

   Hello Friends and Crafters!

Here is the second card I made in honour of World Card Making Day and to play along in the Celebrate WCMD 2024 Pinkfresh Challenge, which is an Anything Goes challenge. This card was inspired by a card made by Anne Fiene as part as the inspo for this challenge. I loved the color palette so went with it.

As I mentioned, the color scheme for this card was inspired by Anne Fiene's inspo card for this challenge. I love a bold color like Atlantis and Paradise on black. And I also wanted to use the Framed Art dies in a different way or with other products. So, I cut the Framed Art die out of white cardstock for the background, gold mirror cardstock for the top and bottom panes, and turquoise cardstock for the hanging string portion of the frame.

I stamped out the top portion of the tree from the Festive Foliage Tree stamp set onto the white background frame diecut. I heat embossed this with gold embossing powder and added Altantis & Paradise ink to the leaves, and Metropolis & Misty Coast ink to the berries with the coordinating stencils.

Next, I assembled the art frame with some foam adhesive for the gold panes and liquid glue for the turquoise string. I added some glue just below the to pane in the design of icicles and added some Distress Rock Candy Clear glitter.

For the background panel of this card, I used the Magical Holiday Border Press Plate with white pigment ink and pressed it into the left and right sides of a 4" x 5- 1/2" black panel of cardstock. I also pressed and cut the sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Sentiments suite with Atlantis ink.

I assembled the card with the Art Frame nearer the center bottom of the card and the sentiment above, overlapping the string of the frame. I find it very interesting that the white pigment ink pressed into the black background has a turquoise tint, although I did not add that color. It seems to pick up the color of the card and everything goes together nicely. Finally, I finished this card off with some Ocean Breeze Jewels.

And that's my take on this card challenge! I hope you like it!
