Hello Friends and Crafters!
I have another card to share that I made especially for the Pinkfresh Studio December 2024 Challenge. I've always loved how Pinkfresh sets can be mixed and matched so flawlessly. So I grabbed one of my favourite sets, the Songbirds on Branches suite which is a bit of an older set. And since birds are also commonly seen during Christmas, I chose to pair it with the Poinsettia Frame press plate with the stencils. I cut up and added the poinsettias to the top and bottom of this card for some Christmas flare. I also added some foiled circles in the background to look like the birds are sitting on them. I hope you like this card as much as I do! I also have a short reel for the creation of this card so be sure to check that out too!

This card uses the colour scheme from the challenge which is Mermaid Cove, Cherry Blossom, Berrylicious, Sunkissed, and Spruce Tips. I used the Mermaid Cove and Cherry Blossom inks on the birds and the rest on the poinsettias. I also pressed out the Poinsettia Frame using the Sunkissed ink. I went with a lighter ink for this because I really wanted the tips of the petals to fade out to white and have a soft look.
The circles are from the Nested Circles set and I foiled them in Blush foil to match with the Sunkissed ink. I arranged the circles while interlacing the songbirds through them. You'll notice that I only inked up the birds with the coordinating stencils and kept the leaves white. I didn't want to draw away from the birds and poinsettias.
The white background was dry embossed using the older Daisy Chain Cover plate die and my rubber mat on my diecutting machine. I know Pinkfresh doesn't carry embossing folders but you can always use this old school technique for that embossed look. I can presume that they know this and that just gives you more bang for your buck, which is something I love about Pinkfresh - they always have affordabillity in mind.
Finally, I added the pressed sentiment from the Magical Holidays press plate set and some Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls.
As always, thanks for stopping by. And don't forget to leave me a comment, as I love hearing from you! And don't forget to follow me on Instagram
