From Love Notes to Easter Eggs: A Curated Love Spring Card | This Calls For Confetti
Hey there, crafty friends! 👋 Welcome back to the blog!
Today I’m sharing a bright and playful Easter card that mixes and matches several fun products to create a dimensional spring scene. One of my favorite things about crafting is finding creative ways to stretch my supplies, and this project is a perfect example of how a stamp set that might seem theme-specific can actually be used in so many different ways.
A Versatile Stamp Set
At the heart of this card is the Curated Love stamp set. While it’s designed with Valentine’s themes in mind, the adorable envelope image works beautifully for so many occasions. By filling the envelopes with colorful Easter eggs instead of love notes, the set instantly transforms into a fun springtime design element.
This is a great reminder that many stamps in our collections can be repurposed beyond their intended theme—all it takes is a little creativity and a few coordinating elements.
Mixing Old & New Easter Products
To build the Easter theme, I mixed and matched both older and newer Easter products from my stash. Combining products from different releases is a great way to breathe new life into older supplies while still enjoying the newest designs.
You’ll see eggs, carrots, and spring accents layered throughout the card to reinforce the playful Easter vibe. When everything works together around a cohesive color palette and theme, it’s easy to blend products from different collections seamlessly.
Techniques Used
This card incorporates several techniques that add detail and dimension:
-
Die Cutting – Used to create the eggs, carrots, scene elements, and layered accents throughout the design.
-
Exacto Knife Detail Cutting – The envelope flaps were carefully cut open with an Exacto knife so the Easter eggs could be tucked inside, creating a fun interactive look.
-
Paper Piecing – Different colored cardstock pieces were layered together to build the eggs and small decorative elements.
-
Copic Coloring – The envelopes were colored with Copic markers to add shading and bring the stamped images to life.
-
Rub-On Transfers – The sentiment on the egg was created using rub-on transfers, giving a beautiful metallic finish without needing stamping or heat embossing

Final Thoughts
I love how this project highlights the versatility of the Curated Love stamp set. By pairing it with a mix of older and newer Easter-themed products, it becomes part of a completely different type of card design.
Stretching your supplies this way is not only fun, but it also helps you get so much more value out of the products you already own.
