Today’s card combines elegance, florals, and a little bit of magic using Pear Blossom Press Lights paired with beautiful products from Altenew. I wanted to show how seamlessly these lights can be incorporated into soft, floral, elevated designs—perfect for birthdays, and especially lovely for upcoming Mother’s Day cards.

💡 Important Placement Tip

For this specific “blow-out” light, placement is key.

You’ll want to position the sensor so that it naturally aligns with where someone would blow on the card. If it’s placed too far off, it won’t respond as easily.

My tip?

👉 Test it before fully securing everything down.

Once you find that sweet spot, adhere it in place—and trust me, the reaction is worth it! It’s such a fun surprise that will absolutely get a “WOW!” from your recipient.

🌸 Creating the Elegant Floral Design

To keep things soft and elevated, I built this design around florals from Altenew.

The flowers were created using:

• Stamping
• Heat embossing (for that beautiful crisp detail)
• Ink blending to add soft color and depth
• Die cutting to bring everything together

I arranged the florals behind the cake to create a full, flowing backdrop that feels airy yet elegant.

🎂 Building the Cake

The cake was die cut and assembled in layers for dimension, with soft pink tones and delicate details to keep the look feminine and refined.

The candle was positioned right at the top, with the light placed behind it so the flame glows beautifully when activated.

💡 Bringing It All Together

The light mechanism was added behind the panel with:

• Strong adhesive to secure the battery pack
• Foam tape to create space and dimension

This not only hides the mechanism but also gives the card that lifted, professional finish.

The deep background helps the light stand out, while the florals soften the overall look—making it a perfect blend of fun and elegance.
