There’s something so magical about combining beautiful paper crafting with a little bit of light—and this card brings both together in the most delightful way!

For today’s project, I created a soft, faith-inspired Easter card featuring a glowing cross centerpiece. It looks intricate and impressive, but it’s actually incredibly simple to put together—especially thanks to the perfect pairing of Pear Blossom Press Lights and This Calls For Confetti products.

✨ The Perfect Pairing: Lights + Layers

One of the things I love most about this collaboration is how seamlessly these two brands work together. The thoughtfully designed elements from This Calls For Confetti—like ephemera, dies, and plates—create the perfect layers, openings, and focal points for Pear Blossom Press Lights to shine through.

The detailed yet airy designs allow the light to glow softly without being blocked, and the dimensional layering naturally creates space to tuck in the light components. It truly feels like these products were made to work together!

✨ Let’s Talk Lights 

If you’ve ever been intimidated by light-up cards, this is your sign to try them. Using Pear Blossom Press Lights makes the process incredibly simple—no complicated wiring, no stress.

All you do is:

• Use a bit of tape to secure everything
• Press the button

That’s it! The lights turn on instantly and add such a beautiful glow behind your design. In this card, I placed the lights behind the floral cross so they softly shine through the flowers and background—it creates such a warm, meaningful effect. Here's a photo of the assembly to show you!

🌸 Building the Design

The focal point of this card is that gorgeous arched scene featuring a floral cross. I used the Faith In Bloom Ephemera from This Calls For Confetti, which made the whole design process quick and effortless.

The ephemera pieces are ready to go, beautifully illustrated, and super easy to layer. I arranged the cross as my centerpiece and then built up the surrounding florals for a soft, garden-inspired look.

One of my favorite details? Letting the florals spill over the edges of the arched frame. It adds movement, dimension, and gives the whole card a more organic, flowing feel—while also helping to diffuse and enhance the glow from the lights.

🌿 Dressing Up the Background

To complement the focal point, I used a soft green background and added texture with the Lattice Luxe Foil Plate from This Calls For Confetti.

And here’s my big tip:

👉 Don’t forget—you can dry emboss with foil plates!

Instead of foiling, I ran the plate through my machine with an embossing mat to create that gorgeous embossed texture. It adds depth and interest without taking attention away from the main design—and it’s such a great way to get more use out of your supplies.

Once everything was layered and the lights were in place, I added a few finishing touches:

• Gold accents for a bit of sparkle
• A soft sentiment to keep the focus on the design
• Dimensional layers to enhance the glow effect
